The Makings of a Juggernaut?
And three NLCS appearances to boot... I think our standard will be 2-3 playoff appearances, one ALCS...everything goes exactly right and one World Series. After 2024, all bets are off with Anderson likely gone. This year we’re already behind the eight ball with injuries, Rodon and Lynn departing, and Abreu/Grandal/Keuchel/Hendriks aging before our eyes. So that just leaves three years to get everything accomplished. More like the Royals’ timeframe.

Like Phil Rogers writing about Curtis Granderson or Cliff Floyd.

Are we back in 1984 or something?

An acceptable reason that wasn’t accepted, brilliant...! Students would love it if I took that approach as a teacher, I’m sure.

That thread didn’t even have a shelf life of 24 hours. Half the reason/s to watch this team have disappeared into thin air over the span of less than two months.

Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
Better than the broken hamate in 2008 out of frustration...

Next new thread will be back to Fire Rick Hahn...well simply because JR won’t shitcan TLR. Tauchman just hit a three run homer for SFG, by the way.

I think the anomaly would be getting Plesac three out of three, looking at results versus other teams.

Yeah, that show is addictive. Elite is another well-liked Spanish show.

Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 if this Sox dystopia fits current mood. Mare of Easttown. Top of the Lake. Schitt’s Creek.

5/2 Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland 1:10 PM
We will get the inevitable War Council with KW, Hahn, LaRussa where they claim those already on the 40 man roster can step up and get the job done...with Abreu, Grandal and TA saying “we’re all good, basically.” Twins being temporarily buried makes inaction here more likely.

This is the time when superior organizations are challenged and figure out a way to respond to at least tread water...

Maybe they are from one of the other two Flying Garcias (Avi and at that time Willy, the forgotten one who was almost as exciting as Sierra)...and were confused without initials on the jersey??? Or the majority already have the last name Garcia in the first place, probably.

The Say Sorry to Rick Hahn Thread
So it pretty much has to be one of those three young drafted starters or Vera. Who else has much value to another team? Crochet? He’s taken a hit this year, so the return wouldn’t match his potential.

5/2 Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland 1:10 PM
Likely would have been no decision, but the team could have still won later on.

Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
Still, it would have helped when at one point we had 5-6 outfielders in our top 12 prospects...if one would have developed. Basabe, Steele Walker, Adolfo, Rutherford, L.Gonzalez, etc. Might as well stick Sheets or Burger out there...what’s to lose?

Fernando Tatis Jr. thread
Have never seen a homer like that before...at 95 mph well off the plate. https://www.mlb.com/video/josh-rojas-robs-tatis-jr If it wasn’t for this play of the week, would be 9 homers in 20 games, or a 73 homer pace. One behind the error pace, which has calmed down a bit in recent days.

White Sox checked on Erstad’s availability, refused to leave Nebraska position.

Amazing stuff. Remember vaguely when that was a normal output for Yermin alone in just one game?
-
5/2 Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland 1:10 PM
Because the starting catcher could get hurt and LaRussa is refusing to play Mercedes at all today? Because Grandal isn’t good at doing much but walking?

Seems like he’s hooking the ball a bit more than last year...McKenzie really dies it exaggeratedly.

Luis Robert grade 3 strain/torn Hip Flexor, est. out 12-16 weeks
More Vaughn for sure. The rest is Lamb, Engel, Hamilton, Luis Gonzalez, Leury...hopefully not Nick Williams, think he’s 100% gone.

Mercedes late to park and benched. Hence 518 ops fifth hitter.
