  1. We'll see if they can win a game against the woeful Marlins this weekend. After Meyer, they're facing Edward Cabrera (6.29 ERA) and Sandy Alcantara (who might be the biggest "get" on the trade market, but he's currently struggling coming back from TJS and sporting an 8.42 ERA)...
  2. Supposedly just a hand cramp, we shall see. "Dylan Cease, pitcher for the San Diego Padres, left his start against the New York Yankees in the seventh inning due to an apparent cramp after a near no-hitter performance."
  3. Robert and Mullins BOTH have 93 career homers. Although there's a BIG difference in their ages, comparatively. Over a 600 game season, Mullins (going off career averages for both) would hit 22 homers and Robert 29. It has taken Cedric an extra 633 at-bats (one full season) to get to those power numbers. So I'll rephrase it to say that Mullins has always been MORE known for speed and strong defense than power. Robert has always been known for both SPEED and POWER. We'll see what Elias does...one rumor under consideration is Coby Mayo and Povich to MN for Joe Ryan. It's going to go until June/July before a decision is made. That gives the Robert market a head start, as everyone in the baseball world knows Getz wants to trade Luis.
  4. Although the 27-year-old is off to a slow start this season (5 HR, 16 RBIs, .642 OPS), he's tied for the MLB lead with 15 stolen bases, ranks among the league leaders in walks and has been solid defensively. “Even with a modest start, the underlying tools remain elite,” an AL executive said. “He offers a rare blend of power, speed, and center-field defense that could reshape a contender’s outfield.” Robert signed a six-year, $50 million extension with the White Sox in January 2020, a deal that is paying him $15 million this season and includes $20 million club options for 2026 and 2027. Robert’s salary is currently the second-highest on Chicago’s roster behind only Andrew Benintendi ($17.1 million this season and next, $15.1 million in 2027), and given the team’s rebuild, it seems logical that they would try to trade him. “He’s off to a slow start, but I still believe clubs will have interest,” an NL executive said. “The White Sox have to trade him at this point.” Did you like this story? Mark Feinsand, a senior national reporter, originally joined MLB.com as a reporter in 2001.
  5. Greg, they don't have a CFer for AFTER they trade Robert...unless you want to look at Greg Jones and aren't expecting him to hit more than .150ish. Believe me, you don't want to watch Palacios or Baldwin in CF too often.
  6. Did some math/s... In 81% of their games, or 30/37, they're averaging 2.48 runs per game. 67 runs scored. Good for a 3-27 record. A robust 10% winning percentage. In the other 7 games, they've scored 61 runs on 8/11/10/9/8/8/7 runs scored in those specific games. Unsurprisingly resulting in a 7-0 record. They've scored 5 runs twice, 1-1 in those games. They've scored 4 runs twice, 0-2 in those games They've scored 3 runs eight times, 2-10 in those games. They've scored 2 runs five times, 0-5 record. They've scored 1 run five times, 0-5 record They've been shut out 4 times as well. 0-4 record A scintillating 2-26 when they score 0-4 runs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And yet we clearly need more of Nick Maton, Jacob Amaya, Palacios and Vaughn....and are not even willing to try Elko, Julks, Fletcher or utility guy Tristan Gray
  7. White Sox (0-3) 26th in Runs Scored per game (3.46) Royals (3-0) 27th in Runs Scored per game (3.39)
  8. Judge's numbers are absolutely insane...but definitely among the young generation of players. Ohtani ofc is a unicorn as well, especially if his pitching ramps back up to where he was before 2 TJS.
  9. Of course. Hardly the Cardiac Kids.
  10. I think I would walk him to face Sosa, lol...
  11. Rojas has been white hot coming off rehab. We shall see.
  12. Sigh. Well, at least it's not a DP? There's that.
  13. Vaughn's big opportunity to come through or continue being a goat.
  14. Robert's got to run simply to avoid the DP. Up to .190 now.
  15. Don't think anyone had Miguel Vargas as the best player on the team (well, maybe other than Robert or S.Smith) at this point in the season...
  16. Would be nice to bring an outfielder off the bench with a 728 OPS like Canha. Except that would be one of the leading hitters on the Sox.
  17. Maybe Elko will follow in the footsteps of Oscar Colas and put out a social media please for release from captivity???
  18. Julks and Elko both have over 1.000 OPS numbers...try someone new por favor. Clevinger, thankfully, rocked for 4 in 2 innings for CLT, surrendered 5 hits.
  19. Thorpe, Iriarte, Zavala (still struggling, but showing "signs" supposedly of breaking out according to our minor league forum...still at least 2 years away at the most optimistic) Wilson has been the second most effective pitcher in the bullpen after his 2024 fell apart in spectacular fashion. Royals' hitting with runners on base tonight pretty putrid...but they don't have to do MUCH, especially when you have Witt, Jr.
  20. $288.8 million max value. That's almost FOUR TIMES the Grandal and Benintendi deals, lol. Plus there would be diminished skills clause/poison pills/team or mutual option years...no trade clause to AL Central, limiting potential return/s.
  21. With Pasquantino getting healthy as well, that's ALL you need to win in the Central, and the ghost of Sal Perez (had a great outlier season last year). Plus, Maikel Garcia's suddenly a useful player out of nowhere. Really should have held onto Singer instead of trading for India, tbh.
  22. Just summon an AL Central team to play the Sox and suddenly catch fire...
  23. 2-13 vs. the AL Central and Bubic statistically has been their best pitcher with a 1.98 ERA heading into tmrw. They can't even succeed at following the plot of Major League as attendance has now pretty much leveled out at the bottom and Campfire Milkshakes/City Connect are carrying the revenues...
