The Future of the White Sox TV Broadcast Team
That explains the NBA/Slam Ball fixation.

I’m tired of these types of posts
A home run would be Ramon Laureano's 900+ ops and outfield defense for just $4 million. Getting something of real value back for Tauchman. Hagen Smith or Schultz producing like Nick Kurtz, Konnor Griffin, Wetherholt, on the pitching side, etc.

Robert’s Future
Moncada on the bench the last two or three weeks last year while making $27 million essentially was JR's version of twisted revenge ... or Jimenez disappearing ignominiously into thin air, along with Tim Anderson. For some unknown reason, they did hold onto Yasmani Grandal until the very bitter end, though.

Do we ask for acknowledgement or recognition for every single positive post? It's called reading the room. Something just broke in the White Sox fanbase between 2022-23. It became virtually impossible to still defend Sox ownership and general management practices. Had moderators continued to do so...it would have come across like WSI leadership those last 2-3 years. They stubbornly adhered to their own version of "group think" until the very bitter end as they banned every single poster that didn't parrot their viewpoints. And that was their choice...to light that board on fire instead of continuing to exist as a viable entity.

Colson Montgomery has arrived
https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/major-league?stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2025&month=0&season1=2025&ind=0&pos=dh As a DH, he would be tied for 20th out of 24 qualified in WRC+ at 101. Pretty much has to be at second.

2025 MiLB Catch All thread
"For the fifth time in his past six starts, Low-A Salem starter Yhoiker Fajardo walked off the mound at the end of his start with zeroes on the scoreboard. Fajardo held Carolina scoreless for six innings on Sunday. Fajardo last allowed a run in his Aug. 8 start against Kannapolis, where he allowed two runs in three innings. Since July 10, he’s allowed just three runs in 38 innings over seven starts." baseballamerica.com

2026 MLB Draft Thread...White Sox Control Draft/V.Lackey closing fast
https://www.usabaseball.com/news/the-two-sport-blueprint-how-jacob-lombard-is-building-his-own-legacy Like the Hollidays, getting another famous brother combo in Lombard with the father passing on athletic genes (UGA RB and mlb outfielder/coach)...as well as the mom. Unlike most baseball prospects who specialize early and train year-round, Lombard is choosing a route few dare to travel: playing both baseball and soccer. “Soccer was my mom’s first sport, and my dad played a little when he was younger. It was my first sport too, so I’ve always had a love for soccer since the beginning. Then, once I saw my brother getting recruited for baseball and doing things like that, it pushed me to lean more toward baseball,” Lombard explained. “But I always loved soccer even more than baseball from the start. As I transitioned to baseball, with a little influence from my brother and dad, it helped me become a better athlete because I was already a good soccer player. That made the transition easier since I was already athletic.” Lombard also did gymnastics for two years when he was younger, following his mother’s influence. He played a variety of sports, including football, and all of that helped him become a better athlete, making the switch to baseball much easier."

Was wrong about Colson at SS but still not buying Meidroth as a starter minus some major power gains in the offseason. The other problem is bulking up at that size isn't going to help his to increase his range or arm strength...Meidroth at 2B and Sosa 1B just doesn't compare well to other combinations around the majors.

Dan Bernstein FIRED!
Probably jealous because Portnoy is suddenly worth $100’s of millions and Colombian models despite being not exactly Fabio-esque except about grading East Coast pizza shops.

https://www.southsidesox.com/2025/4/9/24404284/chris-getz-and-the-chicago-white-sox-the-aggressive-arrogance-of-the-mediocre The glass half full side still doesn't quite understand the width and breadth of anger still remaining out there. Ofc it's a lot easier to target the GM than the owner (see Pitt or Sac/Oakland/LV)...maybe if Getz wasn't around for those previous years and came in with a completely fresh start, there might be more willingness to give him a "fair" shot but Reinsdorf has made that next to impossible for many.

8/27/25 Gamethread Royals @ White Sox 6:40 PM
"We are seeing that trend where it’s really good up front and then kind of can fall apart a little bit like it did today," Will Venable said of Civale. "We’ll keep digging and he’ll continue to look to find ways to get better." In Civale's defense, he was also a pitch away from from a regular ol' three-spot when Will Venable summoned Tyler Gilbert for a left-on-left matchup with Vinnie Pasquantino. But the Royals first baseman's hard groundball smash eluded Lenyn Sosa's range-limited grasp to plate two inherited runners, and started a season-altering disaster of an outing for Gilbert. After Yastrzemski--another lefty--lifted a three-run homer out to dead center in the sixth that Michael A. Taylor clearly thought was going to carom off the wall, Gilbert left with six runs on his tab, having retired one of the eight batters he faced. His ERA went from 3.32 on the season to 4.61 in about a half hour's time, and he looked like he was grappling with such a realization as he bounded down the tunnel to the clubhouse after departing.” At least Fegan still has his sense of humor intact over at SoxMachine.com
