http://www.csnchicago.com/white-sox/white-...ril-comes-close Not sure this article will inspire anyone to have much hope... http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/team/_/stat/b...it/34/league/al The ugly road team splits for 2015. You can also change to 2014 and 2013 regular seasons. 3.1 runs per game. Only six homers in ten games...lowest or bottom 3-4 in nearly every category.

QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 30, 2015 -> 10:48 AM) Two weeks ago I thought you were dead dude. I believed a vicious lie that was being spread. All I know for certain is that Attack the Block rules. Permanent get out of jail free card.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2015 -> 08:59 PM) Can't link it from phone, but Bernstein retweeted an article saying Cubs TV ratings up 110 percent this year That's basically like going from a 5 to a 10.50-10.75 share. http://www.chicitysports.com/forum/showthr...over-last-April Except baseline numbers were much lower. Still a significant increase. http://sportstvratings.com/cubs-winning-in...tings-too/2221/ Like going up 61000 extra viewers in Chicago compared to roughly 53,000 this time last year. In the meantime, Schwarber's lighting up the offensive charts again and still catching.

They were flat out intent on giving him a very rough ride but didnt anticipate there was a possibility of actually killing him...negligence, yes, intentional murder, that would be impossible to prove unless officers turned on each other and placed all the blame on one in particular.

4/30: White Sox at Twins, no crowd due to Age of Ultron

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 30, 2015 -> 09:13 PM) 30 games in May. Surprise us. Win 18 of them. 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015...dont you ever start to feel like a broken record, lol? I admire your unfettered optimism, though. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 30, 2015 -> 08:45 PM) You have never used the DL when discussing the White Sox record. 7-14, $132 million payroll, nad. sale has been on the DlL the last 2 years. Abreu was obpn. Paulie was on in 2012 when Youkilis could hardly walk. Those were no excuses. It was all about wins and payroll. I think theres perhaps just a slight difference between missing the entire season for 3/5ths of a rotation and Chris Sale's time on the DL. And how much of that payroll is Fielder, Choo, Andrus, Darvish, Beltre and injured pitchers the manager has nothing to do with? -

Please find one baseball writer in the whole world who didn't pick Texas last, por favor. If its 2017 and they're still struggling, he can join Ventura on the hot seat. -

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 30, 2015 -> 08:33 PM) How's their disabled list looking? Thought so. Or just try flipping Choo and Nelson Cruz. Andrus has been awful. Beltre...not sure whats up with him, but they are getting good production out of Fielder. (And Hamilton will have a resurgence as well...if Banny can handle Jose Guillen, he can deal with anything.) Im sure DA cant list a single member of their starting rotation who is healthy without looking it up. Profar is out as well. Darvish, of course, the biggest loss...their Chris Sale. Daniels should be fired first. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 30, 2015 -> 08:22 PM) Strange. You never answered the Ventura question posed earlier. Or ever. But keep dodging away...the issue won't disappear by itself. A non-decision by the front office is a form of decision, and this goes for Buddy Bell as well. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2015 -> 08:19 PM) No, the last two games is on the aces. In terms of a turn around, the Sox have a chance that those Twins never had based on pitching. A rotation of Sale, Shark, Q, Rodon and Noesi has a chance to dominate. Cooper probably should remember how to coach. I actually think Hahn should start over while a completely new, non-Sox related major league staff. Because it's going to be a lot easier to change the coaches than the players. If they are so worried about Sale and Rodon going down to elbow surgery they tell Tyler not to call for sliders in key situations...this team wont ever go anywhere. At best, both would be like Francisco Liriano post-surgery with that type of philosophy. -

Thanks for hyping Ubaldo Jimenez and saying Duffy sucks....oh well, it's never Ventura's fault, it's the "bad" fans who dont blindly support this team and manager for seven years and counting without the playoffs. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2015 -> 06:21 PM) So many dumb decisions this team makes in every aspect of the game. Eaton should probably be moved to the 9th spot soon if he keeps sucking. Ramirez was two steps from third. Throw hopped three or four times. That one is all on McEwing unlesS Alexei blew through a stop sign. -
Even with Cooney being awful the Cards still won easily. Btw, Marcus Semien sporting an 813 ops and now in the two hole for Oak.

Plus you've got the linkagee to the Ageints of SHIELD tv show now to help sustain interest....Im 99% sure List or Lizst is in this upcoming movie.

Thats what most drivers of expensive cars are doing here in China....installing their own internal mini cameras because there are a number of "con artist" pedestrians, riders on electric scooters or bicyclists who will deliberately throw themselves against the side or in front of a BMW Mercedes or Audi and argue in the street for hours while a crowd develops and the guy with money is often forced to pay something to get out of the situation. One video the guy even brought fake teeth aloong to scatter on the street....he got picked up by numerous street cams a well...the officer kept on pointing out there was no blood and they showed him the video so he sheepishly walked away after lying in the street and blocking traffic for 15 minutes. With cameras, 95% of that type of trick/hoax is eliminated.

2015 White Sox draft pick discussion
caulfield12 replied to southsider2k5's topic in FutureSox Board
QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Apr 30, 2015 -> 12:07 PM) They have brought in Mitchell, Thompson, and Hawkins all who were thought to be plus defenders. I like the idea of Stewart taking over for Melky in LF or even Abreu at 1B when/if he moves to full time DH. There are a lot of intriguing options out there. None of the pitchers around that area are very appealing to me, you could reach for Matuela, but only if he comes in at a significant discount from slot value. This may not be the worst draft to not sign your first round pick as the #9 pick next season will likely be a better player than what will be there at #8 this year. Yes it may negatively affect your already light draft pool this year, but only if you were going to get someone under slot. Except Mitchell never had a decent arm and Hawkins was mostly picked for his power potential. Thompson, definitely. -
QUOTE (ptatc @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 09:39 PM) They're paying for ventura's earlier headhunting. Except the Rangers and Royals have been first in hbp all season long....since opening day.

http://thedailyrecord.com/2015/04/28/rioti...-investigation/ God help Baltimore if they refuse to bring charges against the 6 officers...just can't imagine it happening with the environment as charged as it is right now. Mosby (State's Attorney) has only been on the job for roughly 100 days.

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/avengers_a...amp;sort=rotten All the 33 negative reviews (which won't stop a single person from attending) of Age of Ultron...looks like around $215-225 million for the opening weekend in the US. Still has a pretty impressive 74% positive rate, but not as highly-admired by critics as the first Avengers film. Will start its run in China, May 12th (starts on a Monday night at midnight).

The KC bullpen was mortal in that game....F. Morales gave up a run (and all of Ventura's inherited runners) and Madson's just not the same pitcher as 3-4 years ago before all his injuries. Throwing 92 MPH meatballs. They just brought up Finnegan (who struggled as well the night before), and Hochevar/Medlen are going to be the big additions in the near future.

Happ would be the most often mentioned college bat in this spot. -

The White Sox hosted the Blue Jays on April 9, 1997, at Comiskey Park for a game that drew only 746 fans. .... U.S. Cellular Field played host to a pair of sparsely attended games between the Marlins and Expos back in 2004. The teams played two games at the Cell in September 2004 because of Hurricane Frances. Only 4,003 showed up for the first game, and 5,457 came for the second game. http://chicago.suntimes.com/baseball/7/71/...d-without-crowd Safe to say the Twins will beat those numbers. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 05:38 PM) Morales Kendrys, B.Butler, Aoki, Torii Hunter, Yasmani Tomas, Rios....maybe the top realistic options (obviously we weren't going to pay Hanley Ramirez). Or going after Kemp/Ethier/Crawford...Jay Bruce, etc. Coming off 2014, it was the perfect definition of "buy low" on Morales. He's been Crede/Uribe clutch so far for them this year. And they've still managed to cover RF, mostly with P. Orlando...Dyson has been terrible at the plate. -
QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 07:42 PM) Caulfield, once again I have no idea on gods green earth what the hell you are talking about. Three days ago, the White Sox were on top of the world, best bullpen on earth, etc. Now we're back in the doldrums, Samardzija needs to be traded before the deadline, Ventura sucks because his team came out flat and the offense is in a malaise, Eaton's not the same player he was in 2014, Abreu can't field and LaRoche should be at 1B, etc. Total 180 degree change.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 07:37 PM) Maddon is on top of all replay calls unlike Ventura. I guarantee Maddon's (Epstein's) not going to go into any replay situation without every possible resource/angle/feed available at his disposal.
