  1. See 1997/2003 Marlins. Of course Dombrowski is/was a much better judge of talent.
  2. Minnesota is definitely better/improved. Guardians at even more of an advantage with aggressive base running and one of the deepest farm systems in the game. White Sox would be doomed with their #2 started out for significant time. Nice job pursuing Conforto on a shorter term make good deal versus committing so much money to post-prime Benintendi...
  3. Predicted 3-4 and 15-18 start. Just thought it would be 1-3 at Houston and 2/3 against SF at home. One season the home field advantage might comment into play again...?
  4. Yeah...can't trust Ruiz right now in any non-blowout situations either way.
  5. Clevinger now has the second best stuff on the starting staff...yikes.
  6. His mother claimed that...at any rate, even if we change the spin from the Sox side to the loss of Sosa instead, Tatis (unlike Bonds) has all of his twenties to prove that he can produce legally/cleanly under a (supposedly) strenuous testing program. Health is the biggest issue due to the style with which he plays... I don't know, if the Padres somehow win it all with their current roster, will their fans add an asterisk like the 2017 Astros? Or Boston Strong with David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez tainted?
  7. Angel Reese/Kim Mulkey=Tatis, Jr. Well, fortunately I chose Julio Rodriguez as my Topps Redemption Autographed card last August over Tatis.
  8. Fwiw, McClure was drafted in 2017 so they never overlapped as Sox minor league teammates, but certainly played with many others who briefly knew him in AZ/Extended Spring. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/giants-kade-mcclure-calls-fernando-tatis-jr-a-cheater-after-giving-up-home-run-to-him/
  9. Pretty bold to call him out with those career numbers but okay...Tatis seems to enjoy or thrive on the boos, playing the "villain" on the road. Maybe they'll go back to ripping on Manny and that will wake up the big league team on April 20th.
  10. What happened to Lynn's velo? He's registering under 90 on some four seamers ... not just cutters.
  11. Five non regulars starting? Uh oh. Moncada still ouchy too?
  12. Guardians already have 2 blown saves in 7 games. 1-1 in those games. 5-2 overall. Had 17 for all of last season. White Sox with 22. Maybe the Twins will end up with the best pen this year...
  13. https://www.milb.com/video/fernando-tatis-jr-crushes-a-hr?t=playerid-665487 Tatis vs. Kade McClure
  14. Best hitter in Royals' lineup currently Sal Perez at .235. Yikes.
  15. By the measures being applied, lol...Lopez should already be demoted. Some will probably argue there's no defined closer right now. Or that he's going to be used in the highest leverage situations regardless of save vs. hold simply because he has the best arm out there.
  16. 1/2 back to .200 lol. We need to trade one of our relievers for Kelenic in a reverse of the Borchard/Matt Thornton move that worked out so well. Actually fleeced them twice if you count the Sweaty Freddy Garcia move.
  17. The ball hit through Vaughn's glove at like 109 mph that broke the webbing is going to be overturned yet again by league office...
  18. Jon Miller making fun of the econd deck being so small and third deck so large comparatively...
  19. Wasn't it 2020 when they had a long run of never losing to a LH starter...?
  20. Looking like Cease gives the bullpen 3 and possibly 3+ or 4 to cover... Alex Wood tmrw.
