  1. 2001/2002/2004 all had numbers in the 30 millions or close. 2001 peaked at 39 million for Game 7, but the rating/share was 23.5/34. Surely the audience has become more fragmented when comparing cable and satellite options versus what was once just 2-3 national television channels in CBS NBC then ABC. It's much more relevant to compare the NBA and MLB based on length of series and the singular marketing phenomenon which are the Super Bowl ads and half time performance. The NBA is less profitable but arguably more popular but MLB wins the revenue battle by $14 vs. $12 billion. NFL at $25 billion nearly doubling both leagues
  2. Rockies have played well recently...well, comparatively.
  3. Sounds like most of the 2000's and early 2010s when we kept drafting football players such as Courtney Hawkins and Keenyn Walker and trying to refine them into baseball players.
  4. Because the value is more as a running back somewhere under Bijan Robinson...
  5. With the White Sox...about as good as any of the 23-24 Bears. Would fit in quite well. Guess we can't overreact on DJ Moore since the QB can't consistently get him the ball. Unless he's on your fantasy team.
  6. Fields is closer to Jalen Milroe or Joe Milton of TN. Secondly, amazing how many QBs have OU/Riley or Bama ties in the NFL right now. Mayfield Murray Hurts Williams (Alas no Rattler.)
  7. Gordon Beckham quality insight.
  8. 33/75 837 ops Ahe rate he's going, he might even catch Robert in OPS and he actually wants to play baseball every single day, too. Genuinely seems to enjoy being part of a playoff push and is responding to the opportunity well. Heart and character traits the Sox are less familiar with since they aren't measurable. https://www.mlb.com/gameday/716546/play/69 Exit Velocity 111 mph Distance 446 ft Launch Angle 20 deg
  9. QB Tyson Bagent RB D'Onta Foreman WR Equanimeous St. Brown OL Nate Davis DL Khalid Kareem DB Josh Blackwell Inactive list today
  10. Salvador Perez just had a concussion or concussion-like symptoms as well. Wonderful.
  11. Preseason Vegas odds that Santos Shaw and Banks would all have Sox saves this year?
  12. Safety check on Ron883.
  13. Iowa State. Yikes. Colorado suddenly looking quite mortal without Hunter. They're going to be crushed by Oregon and USC unless they figure out a way to win without him.
  14. That said...Sosa was a huge aspect of the Cubs taking over Chicago for good in the 90's. Especially the 1998 home run race with McGwire.
  15. Amazing how tight that race is with so many twists and turns already...two more weeks to go. Not to mention Marlins without Alcantara and Robertson lost the closer's job too.
  16. By that argument, you're taking a massive risk holding Luis Robert Jr. the next two non competitive seasons...
  17. Trying to snatch defeat from jaws of victory...
  18. Helped to make the team nearly unwatchable if that was the goal...
  19. Shaw appearing in third straight game lol.
  20. Everyday Shaw warming. Narrowly avoided bases clearing double...but still somehow 5-1.
  21. Acuna pulled with calf issues last night...didn't play today. Return date uncertain.
  22. Cardinals? Well those first three teams have almost no hope for competitiveness in 2024 and beyond...
  23. https://www.mlb.com/news/pedro-grifol-wants-less-talk-more-winning-for-the-white-sox Preach! Or maybe no more talk? But he did have an overwhelmingly successful interview with that highly esteemed judge of talent, Rick Hahn.
