  1. Injured too often at stage of his career and power fading...not unlike Abreu. At least Jose has the durability on his side.
  2. When is he due back? Sox never made a serious FA run at him, right?
  3. #30 prospects in Astros' system like Julks will probably end up with bigger numbers than Sox #1 in Colas.
  4. Reynaldo throwing changeup at same velo as Giolito FB. 10-12 mph difference. But the wrong kind.
  5. Checks fantasy team. Realizes too late (240 am) Moncada is on the bench. Of course.
  6. 15-18 the first 33 games isn't going to be enough to build Sox fan interest. Moncada increasing his trade value at least.

  8. Connor McKnight has a ways to go before he's ready for the big leagues. Annoying they never gave Dave Wills a shot...
  9. Despite being 0-2, Padres extend Jake Cronenworth for 7 years/$80 million. https://www.mlb.com/news/jake-cronenworth-contract-extension-padres
  10. Until they signed Hendriks and added Kimbrel, they at least had a halfway affordable pen. And Joe Kelly was such a terrible signing...still really sticks out like the Leury deal.
  11. Benintendi not making that play in LF didn't help much either. Probably 1/3 or 1/4 odds, but far from impossible. It's one of the reasons his fWAR was so muted between 2019-2021. He's a competent outfielder, but hardly much more than that. Crochet injury hurts in multiple ways. But, then again, Houston is a championship quality team without three lefties in the pen.
  12. That would require at least three bullpen meltdowns (consecutively) in Houston..
  13. Look where CLE is there. Pretty sure Karinchak the most expensive member of that pen.
  14. Every move Hahn makes has deadly repercussions down the line. Rodon and Kimbrel QOs. Stuck with Pollock until M's bailed out Rick. Now stuck with Diekman after his sell by date expired and Crochet weeks or maybe still months away.
  15. That didn't take long. The three blown saves in Anaheim were a lot more traumatizing...this is currently more a sense of resignation.

  17. https://www.foxsports.com/watch/play-64d61be080000ae Oneil Cruz homering and somehow pulling a Hunter Greene 100+ fb and the Hunter Renfroe's no look catch in RF were two of the coolest things on OD.
