  1. I just wanted to say that I am so pleased to have Cubano providing us with so much info on this board. So thanks again Cubano!
  2. I broke off my cellphone antenna about 2 months ago and the best reception I ever got in my room was 1 bar. Today I jammed a gum wrapper in it and am now up to full reception, this is awesome.
  3. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 05:21 PM) Illini 4-0 Not the only team in the state with the perfect 4-0 record as ISU defeats SMU tonight 84-73 to win the SMU tip off classic. Champ Oguchi, senior transfer from Oregon, leading the way with 28 points. Looks like we will have a very good team this year that could compete for a Valley title.
  4. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 05:23 PM) *raises roof for a cowboys victory* *will raise roof once MHizzle gets off the Romo Bandwagon*
  5. ISU improved to 3-0 and looks to stay perfect against SMU tonight in their tournament. They scored 107 last night. Even against crappy competition that is impressive for them. Looks to be a high scoring team this year.
  6. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 03:57 PM) It's funny...this past week, a stuffy nose turned into a sinus infection, runny nose, and a bronchitis like cough, and that has since turned into chest congestion and a fever of 102.6. If this keeps up tomorrow, I'm probably going to see a doctor. I had the exact same thing happen to me about 2 weeks ago and just got over it like 2 days ago. It sucked, I was pretty sure I was dying.

    i am drunk

I hope he made it all the way to the 80's.
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 18, 2008 -> 04:10 PM) I think I'm going to vomit. I look at an MVP as, "who scares the other team the most?" When Pujols came to the plate, teams were f***ed. Same with Morneau. Sure, the Twins didn't win the division, but they came as close as you can behind two bats and a bunch of over-worked arms. When Morneau came up, you knew you were in trouble. Teams game-planned around him. Pedroia was the 3rd to 7th scariest bat on his team. He's probably the worst MVP I've seen in my lifetime. I'd rather it have gone to Youkilis than Pedroia. You said exactly what I was thinking, thank you. No one is that scared of Pedroia, and I know how he played against us. I'd still rather have him up there than Manny, Ortiz, Youkilis, I think even J.D. Drew scares me more. Screw Pedroia.

    Value Menu Items

McDonalds Double Cheese, Cheesy Double Beef Burrito at Tbell. Those are my go tos.
  10. ISU started off the season in good form. An 8 point win over a tough Wright State squad. Osiris leads all scorers. Chamberlein Oguchi in his first game for the Redbirds puts up a double double. ISU looks as if they can get back to where they were last season.
  11. This is pretty funny, the lady seemed to get a kick out of it too.
  12. I think I am the only person in the world that likes Eddy Curry.
  13. That commercial doesn't bother me all that much. It has nothing on This is our country.
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 14, 2008 -> 09:13 AM) Sometimes I find it hard to equate my love for my teams with someone who "chose" to be a fan. I agree, which is why I don't feel the same way about the bears as I do about the Sox, Bulls, and Illinois St. Just never had the same feeling to it.
  15. Can I ask why everyone thinks Jordan Danks will be ready for a starting job in 2010?
  16. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Nov 14, 2008 -> 08:34 AM) LOL /withholds ISU shot regarding the Porter Moser era Let's not talk about that. My first three years of college were not fun in the basketball department.
  17. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Nov 14, 2008 -> 07:27 AM) LOL, you better hope Osiris has another year like he did last year. He will, plus we've got Champ Oguchi who transferred from Oregon for his senior year after starting there for two years. Our wing play is by far the best in the conference. Right now, we just have to hope someone can step up and do an adequate job of running the point without Boo Richardson. Easier said than done though. Oh, and that was not necessarily a shot at SIU. ISU is a a second rate team as well. Screw it, It was a shot.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 11:52 PM) Thanks for the memories, Juan. I never missed Aaron Miles like some of his grinder groupies. I'm with you on that. That was really a heck of a trade if you ask me. Juan is twice the player Miles is/ever was.
  19. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 09:24 PM) Destroy? Without a post presence Duke will destroy nothing but 2nd rate teams. AKA SIU.
  20. QUOTE (BearSox @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 08:58 PM) I don't know if I am against gay marriage (and being gay in general) because I find it morally wrong or because of these idiots who do such stupid crap. I definitely think that it goes both ways on the idiots doing stupid things front...
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 09:37 PM) she's still only the Junior senator from that state. So is Kerry.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 08:54 PM) Actualy, my instinct said that at first too. Then I looked at the qualifying AL shortstop stats. Jeter was the only AL shortstop hitting over .285. His .771 OPS at SS was 2nd to Peralta's .804. The next highest OPS for an AL shortstop was Michael Young at .741. Cabrera was 4th, with his dominant .705 OPS. You could make an effective case that Peralta should have beaten him. But really, that's the only guy who's even remotely close. If only Alexei was at short this season...
  23. QUOTE (Shadows @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 08:38 PM) Man get out of here, I surely hope you are joking For 200 million I would sign a lifetime contract with the Nationals.. regardless, he could prolly get similar money from a better team but still, 200 million to play a game for 6 months out of the year is nice no matter where you are playing. Well yeah, I'd do anything they asked me for 200 million, but if I had the choice of 10/200 there or something like 8/150 with a more competitive club it would be a tough choice. They are both more money than any person could ever need, but I'd still probably take that extra 50 million guaranteed.
  24. That is just a ton of money. I don't know if I would accept that if I were him really. I'm sure he could get something around that number perhaps and not have to play for the Nationals. It's really a tough choice.
