QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 10:30 AM) I guarantee there will be at least 10 people at each party with a Favre jersey on and a dildo hanging out of their pants. They better be wranglers.

QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Oct 28, 2010 -> 11:18 PM) I've heard people I know make this same comment and I feel bad for them in a way -- because I know they will probably miss out on some fantastic movies because they don't like or have a hard time keeping up with subtitles. I don't think that the experience of watching a foreign language film is much different than watching modern news or sports programs. Those types of shows often have graphics that frequently change as well as scrolling text at the bottom of the screen. There is arguably more for the brain to take in and process in those scenarios than with a subtitled movie. Yeah I have a friend that really can't keep up with them. I can keep up but my eyes always stay focused down there so I don't miss something and I have a hard time getting into the movie. I have a hard time getting interested in movies as it is so that really kind of kills any chance.

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Oct 28, 2010 -> 10:59 PM) But outside of 2004 he probably was always in the top 5 easily, maybe even the top 3. His four years from 2005-2008 gave him the longevity of a premiere whipping boy on this site. I remember when I first came on here Jose Valentin was a whipping boy in 2004. I remember the end of the Valentin era around here. I had a different name and like 14 posts under it before i forgot the name and password and signed up again.

2008 was Swisher. Uribe was never the number one whipping boy.

I really don't like watching movies with subtitles. I feel like all I do is look at the bottom of the screen.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 28, 2010 -> 10:00 PM) Uribe was the site's main whipping boy for all of 2007 and 2008 and while I didn't come here much in 2006, he probably drove people crazy then too. I think only Kotsay has been b****ed about more. Do you remember 2007? Erstad all the way.

I don't remember that much Uribe hate to be honest. Maybe I just blacked it out because he was my favorite player.

QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Oct 28, 2010 -> 12:27 AM) I want to see what the consensus is with this. Last night I met a chick. She showed interest (caught her looking at me a few times before we talked, smiling at me frequently, when we actually met she asked me a bunch of questions, etc). We talked for a little while. Then she kinda just leaves and we only talk a little bit after that. I took that as her interest in me went down and that was that. I didn't ask her for her number. I thought I did the right thing by not pursuing her further and didn’t really second guess myself after because of the way she left, but a friend told me I should've asked for her number because she was interested and that guys have to make the move. I didn't because lately I've been thinking if a girl wants to see me again she will continue talking to me and give me some sort of an opening to ask her for her number. Her leaving sort of abruptly made me think she didn’t want to see me again so I didn't ask. So, was I right for not pursuing her or do you think my friend was right and I should’ve? I’ll keep the responses in mind for future reference… I'll agree with you as well. I wouldn't expect a girl that just leaves abruptly to be interested. She should have at least opened the door for you to make a move.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 27, 2010 -> 01:04 PM) I am disappointed in myself this year as well. I've had such great costumes the last 3 years and I just couldn't come up with something great this year to top it. My freshman year I was the doll from Saw, Soph year we went as a group as the Alltel commercial guys (I was Sprint), and last year, I pulled off the most epic Mugatu costume the planet has ever seen. This year I'm going to be Al Borland. I thought long and hard about Old Gregg, but I just don't know that enough people will know it and that I can actually do it. I'M OLD GREG! I had a friend that was old greg 3 or 4 years ago. It was awesome. He had baileys to drink out of a shoe.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Oct 27, 2010 -> 02:15 PM) I'm probably in the decided minority on this but I don't think Miami will win the title this year, not basing it on anything other than the fact that having great players on a team doesn't always mean they'll play great together as a team. I don't think you are. I think the Lakers are the better team myself. I think Orlando and Boston will give them fits in the East as well.

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 09:50 PM) Did Artest say the banner was for 2010-2011? I heard that too.

QUOTE (Felix @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 10:02 PM) I'm excited for Shane Battier. I'm excited for Brad Miller.

I'm excited for Yao.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 26, 2010 -> 12:43 PM) So apparently that knocking at the door at 10am this morning was the R.A. warning us about the tornado in town and maybe being on the 4th floor was not a good idea. We didn't answer the door, oh well, I enjoy my sleep..... I remember a tornado warning my sophomore year when I was on the 20th floor. That was kind of terrifying.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 25, 2010 -> 01:46 PM) Not for me. I was the most anti-social person on the planet for those few months. Didn't care to talk to anyone, went to class, came back to my dorm room, bought some food and got ready to watch the games. Same for me. I was a sophomore in college and I only watched with one other guy. I don't think I could've handled a bunch of people around.

Always Sunny was pretty good last night. Once again I felt like the league blew it out of the water though.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Oct 21, 2010 -> 08:39 PM) This is the Lincecum I expected in Game 1 of the NLDS. In my honest opinion, he's a tier below the elite. Same way Ubaldo Jimenez. Who do you consider the elite then? Lincecum is top tier.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 21, 2010 -> 12:12 AM) I've had two different friends before give me a mohawk when we were both drunk. Not exactly the best decision(s) I've ever made but oh well, good stories afterwards. I have no problem making myself look like a jackass. Exactly the same as me. I had my friends give me a mohawk and after I was sick of that I just shaved it all off. I wanted to look like Osiris.
-
QUOTE (dasox24 @ Oct 21, 2010 -> 12:00 AM) I've never shaved my head before. I've always wondered what I'd look like, but can't bring myself to do it. I think I'd look worse. I went about 20 years before I did it. Just one night on a whim had my friend take it all off. By whim, I mean booze.

This time I got all 4 steals by the second quarter. Go figure.
-
Just tried Michaels last Dance. Fouled out with 1 steal 10 seconds into the 3rd quarter.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Oct 20, 2010 -> 12:22 PM) In every Jordan Challenge game so far I've been averaging like 2 steals with him a game, so I hope that when I actually put effort into getting steals it works. I'm saving that one for last though and I'm on 5/10 completed. I'm more afraid of fouling out than anything.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 19, 2010 -> 07:41 PM) I'm going to try to earn it the legit way, but I cannot wait. Yeah, I'm trying to hold off and actually finish the Jordan Challenge. Right now I've finished 9 of the ten. Last one to go is "Michaels Last Dance." I've been afraid of having to get steals.

I have spent about 10 hours in the last three days in dwight, il. I blew a tire and one of the lugnuts got stripped when I was trying to change it because I had a piece of s*** key for the special lugnuts on my car. It took three days for this guy to get the tire off my car. Finally got out of that town. Talk about frustrating. When it blew I was pissed that I was going to add half an hour on my travel time.
