since it seems like we might have our QB of the future (crossing my fingers on that one) i would go with the o - line first..give this kid every chance to suceed

on the right team kelly would be invaluable...unfortantely our bullpen is so weak that i dont know if we can afford a specialist..and it seems any time kelly's workload increases he ends up on the DL...

i fully expect borchard to beat out rowand for the starting CF job this spring...if borchard is not ready by now to beat out rowand , who will be a career 4th outfielder at best for the rest of his career then we might as well dump him on somebody for a used "L" screen because he'll never make it...its time for joe to put up some bigtime numbers...

same things were said about craig counsell , david eckstein...its not miles fault he never got a chance..he's been winning mvp's in the minors for 3 (?) years now???... i know uribe is young but..he doesnt steal many bases...never had an OBP over 300..doesnt hit for alot of power..in his only full season he struck out 120 times... defensively his only full season he made 27 errors but he does carry a range factor over 5...guess ill have to watch himeveryday for awhile to see what his value is but from what ive seen of miles his hard nose gutsy attitude was exactly what the sox seem to be lacking...we dont have anyone on this team thats a real hard ass

im not going to list my personal belief or what i think the bible says about homosexuality here...because thats an issue thats best discussed in person..its hard to really make your points on a subject that touchy on a message board.. i will add this...there is alot of talk on this thread from people who say they believe in a higher power or God but dont act on it because they cant stand the hypocrisy of christians and organized religon... in the new testiment there is a letter from james...one of its main purposes is to expose hypocritical practices of the church...its a letter and not a book so its only 5 chapters long..its only 6 pages long in my bible(and mine has 1/2 the pages filled with footnotes)..you can read it in about an 1/2 hour..james is my favorite author of the bible because unlike alot of the bible where it is written in parables , very charismatic , and long drawn out stories james was always right to the point....there is no talking in tongues , answering questions with more question...james was a very straight forward ..its easy to read and understand...he leaves no doubt as to what his message is... it was written about 50AD because the same questions that are on this thread were being asked back then...there have been false prohets since day one..

i think he was....but anyone could have had him like 4 years ago from new orleans...i remember i saw his first start ever for new orleans..one of those injury situations...he looked good that game..i dont remember the particulars but i remember thinking to myself how can a 3rd string QB in his first start look better so much better than whoever was qbing the bears..i think it was mirer at that time... he looked like a leader from day one to me

im kinda thinking philly might have peaked a little early and carolina really seems to be hitting their stride...winning in st louis had to wonders for their confidence...especially delhomme with that big clutch pass...when he was with new orleans as a 3rd stringer i always hoped the bears might take a shot on him...something about him...his form sux...his skills are marginal at best..he throws temper tantrums on the field..and oh yeah...he always seems to win.. carolina in an upset....

before seahorn's numerous injuries he was voted by the nfl players as the best athlete in the league 3 years in a row....he was a great cover corner until injuries took their toll on his body... read his book...he talks about how in college the coaches there threatened to take away his scholarship every year for not being willing to move to safety..telling him stuff like , you want to play in the NFL dont you??...the NFL will never draft a white corner...he said he ahd to send letter to all NFL teams telling them he wouldnt move to safety and if that was their plan then dont draft him for years the NFL refused to let blacks QB...it wasnt that long ago when ...if it wasnt for doug williams guys like donavan mcnabb and daunte cullpepper and most certainly michael vick would have all bee moved to rb or wr.. still alot of predujice amonsgt nfl coaches...you cant tell not one white male in this country is good enough to play corner in the NFL anyone watch the high school all star game this past weekend??...there was a white kid from new jersey..6'2 , 240 lbs , runs 4.5 , 4.40..was a tb in high school and average orver 9 yards a carry , 1200 yards and 22 tds....it was mentioned by the commentators that the college he is going to has already decided he will play MLB...youre telling me if he was black they would be moving him LB????..look at brian urlacher...if he was black he'd be the next jerome bettis...he's the same size as bettis but faster in the 40...

i dont why anyone would want konerko with his current salary and recurring hip problems...but ive always thought washburn to be a very good and underrated pitcher so if could every finagle a way to get him losing only konerko and a few "prospects" id sure like to see us do it.. btw..does any GM in baseball really thing the chisox have top line prospects..even joe borchard's stock is falling...man we look weak down on the farm

marlins won two world series with the past 10 years...there is no way they bring in more than the sox.. also the sox have one of the top ten cable/tv deals in baseball...plus reinsdorf got a great deal on the stadium from the city/state..im not sure how merchandising money is split up but the sox are also in top 3rd in that dept too..for a long time they were number one..this franchise is not as bad off as management makes it sound.. i remember sports illustraded did an article in '02 about the bottom ten franchise in baseball that were all losing money...im guessing the sox are somewhere between 10-13 any given year..not great..but no where near the bottom and definately not an excuse for cost cutting measures.. no one ever said reinsdorf was a dumbass..just a cheap ass
