he was past, history, ego, and looking for his numbers, not a team guy - why play the fading past rather the developing future? it is a shame - not that his personality and his conspiracy theories endear him to anyone - i disagree that he wasnt a team guy..when he was with us he conducted himself very professionally...i dont remember one bad word be said about him from anyone..and like i said...watching him the last half of '01..i really became a fan of his..he wasnt a guy that just would swing for the fences..he really tried to play the game the right way...i dont know..he impressed me and i would have liked to have him back Jose impressed me when he was with the Sox. But he really needs to put on a muzzle. yeah i agree with that..jose is really losing it lately..i think something wierd happened there...guys like tim raines still have job's in the league

i think so too..with his speed and ability to bunt..he could be real successful there...plus that means we can drop a bigger bat down in the order and not have so many automatic outs... i'd toy wit the idea of leading him off some games too...but i remember jason kendall saying the worst thing about leading off for a catcher is playing at home and having to rush in after the first inning and get all the gear off and get ready to hit...he said thats the biggest detriment to a catcher leading off...but with olivo's speed and what seems like better plate discipline he could be this team's answer to getting some speed up there...id feel much better with jimeneez 2nd than leading off...cause with jimenez's lack of speed might as well let frank lead off

i know for alot of you is not your genre..but for us over 40 crowd it was a pretty good concert...yes we are getting old..billy joel , on his birthday today , announced that this was it for him...said while cant ever say never,,he was getting long in the tooth and feeling itg was time to call it quits...i maybe got to see his last concert sinnce this was the last stop on their tour... elton played first..then billy..then they came out together and took turns playing each others songs...at the end both bands were playing together and they were rocking out pretty good...it was amuch better concert than i expected...for a couple of old farts they can still bring it
