  1. the Sox aren't signing Bauer, you're just setting yourself up for a let down if you are entertaining that
  2. *psycho ex ballplayer murders innocent woman, riles up baseball fans* BRDSR: WE MUST HAVE DECORUM, YOUR COMMENTS WERE UNSAVORY SIR.
  3. My guess: Cease starts the year in the rotation, Dunning starts in Charlotte
  4. Snag someone from cleveland and give them a fat contract seriously, those guys are amazing (yeah yeah bieber got shelled, but they still were remarkable)
  5. probably because Dunning has gotten lit up like a Christmas tree in his last few outings, and if you take that into account along with the fact that he was throwing balls right over the middle of the plate yesterday and the As were all over him, RR probably thought he had the arms available to at least make it through the whole game with a few guys. sadly Marshall, Heuer, and Foster all pissed themselves and Crochet blew out his elbow
  6. the white knighting in that thread is so damn cringe
  7. or we overvalue Cease and the Cubs knew what they were giving up? that fangraphs piece kinda shines a spotlight on what his issues are, a guy who throws 99 and can't strike anybody out is kind of underwhelming
  8. Threads like this really showcase how much this team takes advantage of its fan base, and the fans never learn lol They aren't signing a single damn big name starter and its ridiculous to think otherwise. The ceiling of player they sign would be the likes of Quintana, definitely not Bauer, come on.
  9. Sox fans should be pretty uneasy about Hahn and KW heading up this rebuild, based on their past transactions. Not many people give up players like Semien, Bassitt, Tatis Jr (beasting it right now in the playoffs btw), and even Montas for bags of balls and still keep their jobs. Those misses by Hahn & co. are huge red flags as to their eye for talent. We very well could see more players sniped by other teams because they know our front office cannot properly identify (or develop) talent. Rick Hahn is very bad at his job and could single handedly fuck up the next 5 to 10 years for this team. He is REALLY REALLY BAD at his job. Even worse than Anthopoulos, and he was horrendous.
  10. Pulling Dunning early was the best decision he made all day, everything else was horrendous. The whole team laid a huge egg. Tim Anderson, Robert, Mazara all had decent games, the rest of the team was a shit sandwich. Moncada is so bad now, its pretty depressing as he is probably my favorite player
  11. With how open Stoney, Big Frank and others have been about how awful RR was, He has to be gone right?
  12. Any quotes? I dont have NBCSN Chicago
  13. theres a reason a lot of us laughed our asses off when he was Venturas replacement I mean, a GM cant be this bad at his job and expect to build a contender but here we are
  14. Ironic isnt it? When your GM is that bad at his job, and doesn't have to worry about being held accountable
  15. give me a break, I agree that Hahn is a fucking horrible GM (the whole front office is shit tbh) But Renteria might be the worst Sox manager in my lifetime, including Manuel and Ventura I've never seen a guy make so many boneheaded mistakes as a pro manager. He isnt qualified to be anything more than a 3b coach
  16. both sides sucked, no question but the pitching wasn't even competitive
  17. lol this loss is 100% on the pitching, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT
  18. Mental midgets. Big moments have mind fucked this team since 2006. Been a problem every year.
