  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 08:35 PM) Peavy needs a very efficient fifth inning and we need some runs. tribe hitters are most likely hoping peavy goes out for the 5th
  6. chicago weather in april is messed up, was 70' here today (peoria) was planning on going to this game, kinda glad i stayed home
  7. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 07:38 PM) Why is the crowd booing that? It's not like it was a bad call... Peavy hit him in the foot pretty plainly. alcohol
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 03:02 PM) I almost thought Hafner hit that one out. Then I remembered that it isn't 2005 anymore. His prescription ran out

  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 01:37 PM) We can't afford to let Zambrano get into a rhythm. When he gets it going, the next thing you know is it's the 7th inning and you have no hits. BA.
  19. unfortunately blackout restrictions still apply, blah
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 17, 2009 -> 10:22 PM) Pods for Comeback POY If Contreras continues his dominance, it would be awesome to see Co-Comeback Players of the Year and both be Sox players
  21. One thing I've been pondering about the last couple days, is the AL Central the only division in baseball to not have a "Marquee" team? By "Marquee", I mean a nationally popular team with a large fanbase. AL East. Yankz, Redsawx AL West. Angels are pretty popular nationally and in the media. AL Central. ??? NL East. Braves NL Central. Cardinals, Cubs, both huge draws nationally. NL West. Dodgers This doesn't really hold any relevance overall, but when people like to pretend the AL Central doesn't exist (I was having a conversation with a guy who's a huge Red Sox fan, and we were talking about the ASG Ballots, and he was saying "There's really not a great catcher to represent the AL." And I said, "Uh, Joe MAUER?" And his response was basically "Oh yeah, lol"), it's pretty laughable that it's the media's lack of representation of this division where most of the national ignorance comes from. It's easily the least popular (If you go down the list, team by team, and then more/less combine the national popularity of each team) division in all of baseball
