Opening Day Angels/Sox 3/27...
You ignore all that stuff, just keep backing out and going back in until you can get it to play. Took me about 4-5 times before I got it going but its working.

Eder, Fletcher DFA'd , Thorpe to the 60 day IL
Why are people taking victory laps? The Marlins saw a little over 1 season of Jake Burger and said no thanks and moved him for some back end top 30 organizational prospects. Nobody won that trade.

Opening Day Angels/Sox 3/27...
Its crazy, there's 3 games going on right now what the f*** is the problem.

Eder, Fletcher DFA'd , Thorpe to the 60 day IL
I would rather see Christian Mena in our rotation right now or in a few weeks over some of these other guys, especially when we have the hindsight to see how many injuries have happened with our pitchers.

Opening Day Angels/Sox 3/27...
Anyone else having trouble with their MLB.tv? It keeps erroring out and not letting me get in, I am going to be an unhappy camper if I don't get to waste the last 2 hours of my workday watching the Sox instead of being productive and earning a paycheck.

Which makes it a bad look on Getz for his guy making that terrible assessment...

Eder, Fletcher DFA'd , Thorpe to the 60 day IL
This is most alarming to me. Everyone is hanging their hat on all these changes and hirings being made behind the scenes and here we are DFA'ing people this regime just traded for one offseason ago.

Colas DFA'd. Greg Jones claimed
I would says 0.0 % chance caulfield was in on the reference.... lol

Alexander Canario
I don't even think Canario has been officially put on waivers anyways.. so ill at least not pretend we chose this guy over him for now.

Alexander Canario
Sorry, best we can do is a 27 year old who can't hit. He is fast though..

How do you rank Chris Getz' GM tenure so far?
Careful, you're going to summon all the posters who are going to say the White Sox were never trying to win and the pencil pushers he has hired are going to change the world, you just wait for 3-4 years you'll see.

Who are you most excited to watch this year?
While I don't believe they expected to contend for a playoff spot, based on the things they said and the moves they made heading into 2024 there is no way I believe at all that they weren't trying to win. I honestly believe they thought they would probably be in the 70's for wins based on just improving the defense and patching the holes the roster had forever and completely backtracked once the season started and everything went off the rails. No team entering a tear down is trading a SP prospect for a 26 year old low upside corner outfielder. It is what it is at this point, here's to hoping this time is better.

How do you rank Chris Getz' GM tenure so far?
Yeah, 2-5 with 0 series wins. Stellar.

How do you rank Chris Getz' GM tenure so far?
Wow, so many success stories here. The Sox must have been really good the past couple of years.

Sox Claim P Mike Vasil
That's fair, we don't know for sure what exactly his role was. What I do know is, he was part of the regime that caused this franchise to bottom out. Common sense dictates that you don't keep those people around when its time to start over. I know you already agree with that though.

Sox Claim P Mike Vasil
I don't see how you can even think that. A big part were in this mess is because he was bad at his job as the director of player development. If we had hired an outside candidate to be GM, absolutely, they had no ties to this mess and have a huge pile of work to do to get it right. The guy they did hire, absolutely had a hand in creating this disaster by his inability to do his job successfully. How can you say that it should just be ignored now that he is the GM instead?

Sox Claim P Mike Vasil
But Chris was part of the previous regime......

How do you rank Chris Getz' GM tenure so far?
Getz didn't deserve a shot at the GM Job because he was director of player development during a failed rebuild that was largely because no one got developed. That's the main reason why. He should have never been allowed to be GM here. He should have been let go with the rest of them.

Mason Adams - Tommy John
You can forget about next year, and if there is going to be a lockout in 2027 its looking more like 2028 for Thorpe, which sucks, because who knows what you're getting 3 years later. Sadly, same can be said for all these guys getting it done right now.

How do you rank Chris Getz' GM tenure so far?
He's done almost as much in the last 20 years as a GM as the Sox have done as a franchise in their 125 year history. If that's what Getz turns into, ill gladly admit how wrong I was.

Who are you most excited to watch this year?
There were a lot of people prior to 2024 that said this team was going to break the record before a game had even been played (I was NOT one of those people, thought they had too much talent to be the worst ever). If feels like when you look at it today, there's the group that knew it all along, the group that got on board with that about halfway through the year, and then the group that's like "They weren't trying to win, this was always the plan". Which is funny, because I can't recall a single discussion heading into 2024 from anyone that the White Sox were in fact tanking and had no plans on trying to win games. Which again, makes no fucking sense since they couldn't pick any higher than 10th anyways so what exactly are you trying to tank for?

How do you rank Chris Getz' GM tenure so far?
The question is how do you rank it so far though, at least that's how I look at it. I don't think this could have possibly gone any worse through a little over a year and if it couldn't be any worse how can it not be a failing grade, so far?

Sox Claim P Mike Vasil
Its a hard topic to discuss, because there is no other team in baseball that would have hired this man to be GM. So yeah, I think an unqualified GM turning a 100 loss team into a 120 loss team absolutely should have been career suicide. I think any respectable owner should have realized that was a huge mistake and fixed it.

Sox Claim P Mike Vasil
Dude, give them those 8 games then. They win 49 games. The team was a dumpster fire, there was no amount of luck swinging either way that was going to change it. Getz wasn't some outsider walking in wiping the slate completely clean, he was part of the previous regime, why does he get a pass for this? I can't answer your last question, none of us have any idea what kind of restraints he has on him for decision making from JR. Case in point, Grifol should have been fired LONG before he actually was, but again I have no idea if Getz wanted to fire him in May and JR said no or Getz just let it ride until he finally did it.
