New Chat Thingy....
I like it, of course I'm biased since I'm on IRC 24/7. If anyone needs help with IRC commands, PM me, I got 'em all down.

cub trolls
The only time here I've seen one Twins (or was it Royals?) person, he didn't say anything bad, but whatever. The thing closest to a Cub troll I've seen is Cy Young Porzio, but he's a friend of someone.

Grand Theft Auto V
I'd like to see a big variety of gangs, like in GTA3. Vice City pretty much had the Haitians and the Cubans, there were the druglords, but I don't exactly consider them a gang. There were no gangs you did side missions for really, like the Diablos in GTA3. I just liked that there were tons of gangs in GTA3. Also, I really really hope they plan on putting more HILLS in the new ones. Vice City was for the most part hill-less, and hills make for the best jumps. Especially that monster hill that led to the jump in Portland on GTA3... my favorite is that. I liked how they Mafia would shoot at you in GTA III towards the end. I think if they put both games together, it would be awesome. Take the best parts of each game. I would like it so you could have more places to go inside of. Maybe a hotel to just spend one night at, instead of buying an apartment. I think it would be super cool if the main character could have multiple scenerios. Like he could choose to do something or not, choose to be super evil or good. Stuff like that, so you could play the game over and over, and it'd never be the same. Ahh the value of replayability. GTA is already one of the most replayed games ever, it would be awesome if they did that, they might not need to make a new one for 3 years!

Have you downloaded the latest version of AIM? IF you have, you might want to check some preferences as well.

Pudge...
Yeah, that's true, we could use the money elsewhere... I was also informed that Sandy was retiring after this year, but if he's back, that's great.

Pudge...
I don't know if Pudge and Ozzie had a good relationship out in Florida, but I am assuming that they did. If you look at it like I do, there is a very good chance we could snag Pudge. KW has done surprising moves like this before, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least. Anyone have thoughts ?

I'm giving you props for that, congrats man. That's my goal. Did you find ALL hidden packages by yourself? If so that is quite a feat, especially in 3 months.

Changes at Soxtalk
Drop me an AIM at konan12, and I'll talk to you about it. Will do when I get home from work. Gotcha. I'll go hunting for a good applet in the mean time.

Write a review
Eh, beastly, just a word of advice. 99% of the time you beg for mods or even ask for them for that matter, you do not recieve. I find that most message boards choose people who they think are good posters (not a slam at you, so don't take it personal), at random times. The best thing would be to just sit still and post intelligently, and you might get the call. Remember, there are a lot of good posters here.

Changes at Soxtalk
You could get a good IRC chatroom for nothing at all, on some server. Or if you wanted you could make an irc.soxtalk.com server.. and install some sort of nickserv chanserv dealie. Not exactly sure how that works though. Then you could have people download an IRC program, like mIRC, and also make a Java applet that connects right to the channel, and host it on Soxtalk.com. Just an idea, if you're interested. U got any instructions on how to do that Where I could set it up where when people go to for example www.soxtalk.com/chat it would automatically pull it off of Soxtalk's server (The one thing I'd worry about is if this would put too much extra pressure on the server) and then if people don't have the program a pop up would come up or something would say install this. Well I did some reading up on it... and it appears that you'd have to have a computer set aside with a good OS (I guess Linux is preferred for having an IRC network on your computer). From what I understand, you have a computer that's on 24/7 to host the network.. I think the better route to take would be to just simply set up a channel on a public server, and put a Java applet at like soxtalk.com/chat ... would give you the applet, some little popup would come saying "Do you want to install blah blah", people would click yes, type out a username, and simply click connect and they'd be on the chatroom. I can find a good reliable server, and a decent Java applet, I know a few people who have worked with these things. If you are interested in making an IRC room, I'll talk to you about how to connect to this server, and give you the command for registering a channel.

Grand Theft Auto V
Excellent news, DB! I used cheats to beat VC when I first got it, but right now I am playing the game without cheats. It's actually pretty fun, despite being very difficult in some levels.

The Matrix Revolutions
Blah, I wasn't too fond of Reloaded, a bit on the boring side, all I heard was that since Reloaded took care of A LOT of the boring dialogue, that Revelutions will have tons and tons of action... two reviewers were not fond of it, said there was a lot of wishy washy love-ness in it, and a boring story.

Sox Call 3:00PM Press Conference

KWs' eau de Colon
I have a quick question for you, if you know or not. Is JR giving any thought at pursuing Kazuo Matsui. I realize that a bigger market team will probably snatch him up for themselves, but it'd be nice if he gave it a shot. There are lots of plusses with signing him, the biggest would be the revenue from Japan. Anyways, I think it'd be a breath of fresh air, if we traded Konerko, Maggs, for some good hard playing youth, kept Thomas (you see how he flourished in 2000 with youth), and kept Lee (I just like the guy). It'd be interesting, and I know as long as we have some of the same guys we have on this team, we're going nowhere.

Trib article on SOX
Agreed, Yahtzee...why trade the guy when he is finally coming into his own? He is starting to become a complete player, minus the occasional fielding gaffes. If anyone, Maggs goes to the Yanks for Soriano, we get about $12 mill off the books, and get a needed second baseman also. I especially love how he imprved his defense greatly this year. He made some amazing catches I wouldn't have expected out of him in earlier years. Almost everyone has their errors, it happens. But yeah, Lee is awesome.

KW fires back at Valentin
I am right there with ya on that thought, Yahtzee. I think that Jose time has served its duration. I'd love to see us make a run for Matsui, and trade Maggs for Soriano...thats a damn fine infield IMO. I don't think you will ever see that from the Sox. These imports from Japan and the defectors from Cuba are all expecting money like Steinbrenner dishes out. He has ruined baseball economics and what's worse the guy doesn't care. He can't because he just keeps dishing it out. I'd still be happy if they at least gave a shot at signing Matsui. I would be disappointed if they just let him go. But that's just me.
