  1. Apparently the Knicks are buying out Corey Brewer. Would love to have him, even if it means having two Brewers.
  2. Random question, but does anyone know if the Bulls drive or fly to Milwaukee for games? It's around an hour and a half from the Berto. I can't imagine a flight is that fast considering getting to the airport, etc.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 26, 2011 -> 01:36 PM) He's the best player in the country, and it's not even close in my opinion. Agree. Fredette is as legit as can be. SDSU is puzzling to me. I didn't see this game, but really don't know what to think of them. I truly thought they were better than BYU after watching the game in Provo. BYU is probably a tougher team to judge in the bracket. Fredette could beat anyone. He could also be shut down or have a crappy game and they can lose to anyone. It's hard to have a team like BYU going to the Elite 8 because all it takes is one bad shooting game from Fredette and they don't get the chance to upset a giant.
  4. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 08:54 PM) He has had a huge impact no doubt 2day. Wade and James haven't been able to drive the paint with him in the game, thus they are taking lower percentage shots and missing. But I will take Mayo over Asik anyday. Not denying he has had a great game, but Mayo is still the more valuable player. Agree. That's a 20 point turnaround. Damn. Didn't see that coming.
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 22, 2011 -> 08:05 AM) Like last Monday? Yes. Exactly like that. I'm sure watching #1 get blown out gets better ratings than watching them beat up on a crappy team.
  6. It seems somewhat likely that the Knicks would be the Bulls' opponent in the first round. The Knicks can't get to the top 5.
  7. Chauncey, Melo, Amare. Worth fearing despite no supporting cast?
  8. So glad ESPN put Kansas on Big Monday again. Instead of the trying to match the quality of Big East games you get every week, most of the time it's Kansas beating up on some mediocre team in Lawrence. At least show them on the road so there's a chance it's competitive. Yeesh.
  9. Normally I wouldn't be interested because polls are irrelevant in basketball (heck of a concept lol), but all the top four teams lost this week. Who is your new No. 1? Clearly none of the top five or so aren't playing especially well because 4 of them lost this week and Duke is probably just on par with Ohio State, Texas and Kansas.
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Feb 19, 2011 -> 03:23 PM) Well, at least we scared Mizzou. If next year's team, the one that will have Chris Allen and Royce White and actual talent, plays as hard as this year's, they are Top 25. I just hope Baylor is the 5 seed in the Big 12 tourney. Baylor has @ Mizzou, vs ATM, @ Ok State, vs Texas left. I highly doubt they can pull off better than 2-2 in that stretch and 2-2 won't get them the 5 seed. My money is on K State if they win at Nebraska.
  11. Serge Ibaka's first round free throw line dunk was the best of the night. He was actually behind the line. I don't know if anyone has actually done that. The famous free throw line dunks were just inside or on the line.
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 17, 2011 -> 11:45 AM) From his post it seems that the refs called it a 2 initially and then confirmed the call on replay so it is Oklahoma's fault for not being more aware. Yeah, that's how it went down. Still seems kinda crappy that they couldn't confirm the call in the first place, but the call was right. The bizarre part is that even Nebraska thought it was a 3.
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Feb 16, 2011 -> 11:37 PM) The fact that so many people are talking him up makes me think it's more likely Kenny will use this bloated value to try and get bloated return on him. Without getting into "the debate", I think he did the same thing with Hudson, and probably Jeremy Reed before him. Yes. I was agreeing with you, but was basically saying I don't think what you said about Escobar was bold. I'd say that's fairly likely.
  14. Crazy ending in the Nebraska OU game. Neb was up 3 in the final seconds. OU took a deep shot and made it. Everyone in the gym other than the refs thought it was a 3. There were 3.7 seconds left after OU made the shot that they thought tied it. Nebraska ran down to take a prayer to win, which they missed. Refs look at replay and it was correctly called a two, but no one on OU thought it was (or saw the call) so they didn't foul and Nebraska got the win.
  15. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Feb 16, 2011 -> 04:15 PM) Phillip Humber will dominate in AAA, and Andy Wilkins will catapult himself into everyone's prospect list. Eduardo Escobar will do well enough to get traded. I can agree with that, but I think Escobar has enough value to simply be average this year and still get traded.
  16. Good stuff. It sounds like you did what I did. I bought the first AC in December and finished Brotherhood over a week ago. Problem is now I have to wait for the next one...
  17. Bulls wearing red at home. I'm so confused. I want to root for the team wearing white on the UC floor.
  18. Champions League is back, yay. Arsenal-Barca tomorrow, double yay.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 09:58 PM) Barring a comeback, looks like another new #1 next week. Who does Texas have this week? Texas should have been #1 to begin with. They won in Lawrence so ranking Kansas ahead of them was silly. Good thing this isn't football where rankings matter.
  20. QUOTE (lostfan @ Feb 13, 2011 -> 08:28 PM) I'm pretty irritated, I made it to the last mission in Rome in Assassin's Creed 2 then I left to go do something and turned the game back on and a glitch in the game made me unable to finish the game. So... I need to start the game ALL OVER AGAIN. Sigh. BTW if you want to play the added content, download and play that BEFORE going to Rome. Hmm, I didn't know of that problem. That's brutal. At that point you might as well just youtube the ending lol.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 13, 2011 -> 12:44 PM) To me it's a good mix of Halo, Gears, and COD. I like being able to add different abilities to your stable as you improve. That's cool, but it also screws newer users. It took me several games to figure out what the heck I was doing as this was the first I touched the Killzone franchise.
  22. I tried the Killzone 3 beta last night. First thing that stuck out to me was the detail in the graphics. Very impressive. However, the game seemed like a lesser copy of Halo.
  23. Ha well that sounds great, but I don't think I want to dedicate the time to that.

  25. Sorry, I have no interest in playing with 6 relievers.
