QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 12:34 AM) s*** your right, god damn moody. I will always crap on Mizzou, and will continue to laugh at you guys who believe the game on Monday is your Super Bowl. Rock Chalk Champs!! I don't really care. I don't really understand the rivalry personally. There are tons of fans that make a huge deal out of anything Kansas. I've only been to one basketball game and none of the football games. The football games are when I'm in the Chicago area for Thanksgiving break. As for basketball, freshman year (the Moody game) I was on a date which went longer than expected and I deemed that more important lol and last year I just drove in from the end of the winter break and slept through the game. Shows how much I care, but you are right about the culture. -

Obviously the Mizzou Kansas game is huge for who wins the North and gets the spot to the Big 12 title game. Oh wait, this isn't football. How does winning at basketball work? I grew up a Northwestern fan and Mizzou hasn't been to the postseason since I came here lol. -

Possibly the best win in my 4 years. I think Mizzou's plan is to make the opponents do retarded things. Texas looked bad. Mizzou didn't play their best though so it's ok. I'll take the great win. The Tigers would really have to s*** themselves down the stretch to miss the tourney now. -

Dre Kirkpatrick just had the most overblown hat selection I've seen. I'm sure there are worse, but damn I hate that. He grabbed the Texas hat, then had some duffel bag with a plastic bag that had a box and then another bag where he pulled out the Alabama hat. He grabbed the Texas hat that was sitting in front of him first too. Annoying -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 03:30 PM) UNW Who the f*** is that? As for that Harris thing, complete bull. That ejection was a gross overreaction. There was no malice. He shouldn't be flailing his elbows, but that's not ejection worthy. -
I don't think I would want any of the characters to remain. Cox is great and would be a solid lead, but the chemistry of the current show is really good. Starting over would be weird. As for the new interns, not bad. Denise/'Jo' is great. The line about chubsters being so grateful that they try harder in bed had me rolling.

Uribe was always a fun player to watch one way or another. The last 2 outs in '05 were unreal.

The preseason polls are out, Baseball America came out with theirs today, so I figured I would start this thread because I have nothing else to do until my next class in an hour. Baseball America Top 25 For some reason Mizzou is #10. Can't say I can rationalize that, but hopefully they are right. I don't think A&M is a #1 team either, but they are usually pretty solid. Jason's Fullerton is top 5 again. The USC of baseball, team is ridiculous. Anyway, once the season starts hopefully some of our insiders will be able to dish out some interesting stuff.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 17, 2009 -> 09:11 PM) I shoulda let dan and bmags and maggsmaggs know I'd be in Columbia today. I wasn't in Columbia anyway. Just got back tonight. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 12:33 PM) Iowa State took 150 students to the ISU-Mizzou game yesterday. Yeah, I heard you guys were louder than our student section. We were still on break, but I don't think it would make a difference. It's Missouri basketball, everyone knows they are gonna have some embarrassing losses (at Nebraska) and it will keep them from any sort of relevant season. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 5, 2009 -> 10:35 PM) Maybe the highlight of the bowl season so far. Yeah, I saw that too. I wasn't rooting for either team in the game, but the way Ohio State fought back made me want them to win. Geez, I just realized I was feeling sorry for the Buckeyes. Can't let that feeling last long lol. -

I am very impressed with what Ohio State is doing. This is the Texas team I thought I would see all year, but of course I was wrong. No real running threat without Charles, who was their offense last year. Texas always gets every call. It's no secret in the Big 12. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 04:35 PM) Oh my god....I saw the thread title in the admin board with "penis" in it and I was like dang, looks like an interesting thread. Little did I know it was I that was the author of such thread. I must admit, I'm shocked at the serious answers. However, Andrew was right about my account being hacked. I was logged into Soxtalk over at Mario (Molto) and Jeff's place (Shipps) which is where I was staying the past few days. Clearly one of them realized I was still signed in and made what I think might be the funniest thread I've ever seen on this site Lies. You got your advice and then played it off as fake.

That's a bit of a bold statement. Given the Texas Tech pro QB pedigree (or lack thereof), I'm gonna keep him off any top lists like that. -

It was a Cotton Bowl with a Tech team that didn't give a s***. I'd back off the top 10 calls a bit. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 04:29 PM) I am guessing at some point that made sense to you before you posted it. Im trying to figure out how I would draw a comparison between a Texas team pushed out of the title game because of a rule and a 5-3 in conference Ole Miss team. Head to head in one game doesn't always tell you who the better team is. OU has the better resume. The correct team is in the title game. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 11:12 AM) The only reason Texas is the "second best team" is because of a terrible rule that will be changed moving forward. So I guess you believe Ole Miss is also better than Florida.
