    Playmakers

It doesn't look all that great. To be honest it looks stupid. I suppose it could work, but I still don't really know what the show is about. The previews keep showing the same highlights, nothing that has made me want to watch it.
  2. LOL, that's funny. Very funny. Just because kids want to get laid doesn't mean they can get laid. That's just funny man. Get your numbers straight. That is, unless you go to the most f***ed up high school I've ever heard of.
  3. We already had this same topic on the off topic board earlier in the summer and everybody liked the Konerko and Hudson ESPN commercial. "Isn't it weird..." I love that commercial, but it's not really a Sox commercial. Ribbie- I kinda liked those Belle, Ventura, Frank commercials. Of course, I was a kid so I just thought they were cool. Maybe that's who they were targeting and that's why you didn't like them.

    High school

Basically a lot of good stuff has been said. High school is not the best times of your life, that's a crock. It's definitely better than jr high though. Freshman year can be tough. It's useful to make friends with some older kids, but not a must. Basically you don't "make" friends, it just happens. You find people that you have stuff in common with and then you tend to become friends. It's intimidating at first though. Your best off to just concentrate on schoolwork (which isn't as bad as it was hyped for me) and everything else will fall into place. Freshman year basically blows. Sophomore year is much better, and by the end of sophomore year you may even begin to like high school (ya know other than the schoolwork ). As for girls....high school relationships don't last long, so they aren't a big deal. Most girls at my school are spoiled brats (comes with being in a rich area), but sluts are common. Whether that's good or not is up to personal taste.
  5. I took pre-calc last year, not fun. Bad times. I heard from some friends that took econ last year that's its a ton of work. Of course that's expected considering it's an AP. School does blow, doesn't it? I have to start Wednesday.
  6. Whoa, somebody needs to relax. It's a message board, not a big deal dude.
  7. No, I think you are missing my point. A fight won't be necessary unless the team had major chemistry issues to begin with. If the team needs a fight to prove this they are in trouble. Teammates should have trust for one another, and they shouldn't need a fight to prove this.
  8. Sox thriving thanks to big home crowds I didn't see any post this and it's very interesting. If this isn't reason enough to go to the park, I don't know what is!
  9. I'd say the negative effect is much stronger than the positive effect. If you need a fight for you to trust your teammates, then you got problems.
  10. Well I guess it could go either way. If a teammate doesn't back you up, then it could tear a team apart.

    I'm out....

I'm going to miss your sig most of all. Always funny to see your funny article that you post about.
  12. It's true in my area. Rich kids that get bored do a lot of drugs. It's sick how many people do drugs at my school. I don't know a number for sure, but it's A LOT. This is so true.
  13. It adds experience to the team. They have tons of depth though at guard. I'm a big believer in "clogging" basketball teams as a bad thing. Extra players clog up the works and either can't develop in the case of a young player (see Jermaine O'Neal), or causes the team to have bad chemistry (see Blazers). With that said I'd still rather have Gill over Hassell. Hopefully Pax is going to unload somebody to open up some PT.
  14. They don't unite teams. All they do is get players suspended. Plain and simple.
  15. That's true too. You can't go making a thread looking to get respect. It just...comes.
  16. What do you expect? Jas is the man. He runs the site. You are just some writer.
  17. Haha, you sound like me. I guess that's what happens when you watch R rated movies.
  18. I'm going Saturday. I would have gone Friday, but it's Elvis night. I went to one of those before and will never go to another one again.
  19. Game time is 7:05, what's with the early thread? I thought the game was starting or something.
  20. That's funny. Was that supposed to be in green? Bears fans are no better than Cubs fans, it proves true almost everyday. clujer-I don't think Vick is the 2nd best player in the league, but he is definitely better than Favre(he's past his prime), Warner(injuries), Moss(doesn't work hard enough), Brooks(LOL), Tomlinson(this is close), Staley(injuries and attitude), and McAllister(wtf is he doing on this list). Ray Lewis, Faulk, McNabb, Strahan, and probably a few others I can't think of are currently better than Vick. Vick also had no good WRs last season so he had to run more due to that. The offensive line isn't that great either, so he was under a lot of pressure. He has an arm, and he will show it this year when he plays. The Falcons will still make the playoffs if Vick is back by the team's 6th game (he is expected back before that even) and plays well.
  21. I don't see the big deal with kids seeing rated R movies. Honestly, what's the big deal? A movie isn't going to change the kids life. If the kid is nuts and irresponsible, then the parents already screwed up and taking him to a movie would be worse. All I'm saying is that if the kid isn't mature or smart enough to realize it's just a movie, the parents have done a poor job or parenting to begin with. With that said I wouldn't take a kid to a rated R movie that's under 7. They are too young until they reach 7 to understand that. If they still don't understand that it's just a movie by that age, the parents did a poor job parenting.
  22. Also the Warriors have the worst lottery pick of last year's draft in Dunleavy that they want to give a chance. The Mavs didn't really get much better. Jamison scores. They already had scoring. Any other owner in the league wouldn't have made this deal for the Mavs.
  23. Aw f***, Nanita was doing great. The last thing we need is to have him get injured. This blows.
  24. That's exactly what I keep telling myself. They got lucky their schedule is easy in the beginning. Then again they were 1-3 last season and still made the playoffs, so anything could happen. As for Brooking, he's not a top tier LB. I think he has the potential to, but he's really a 2nd tier guy. Of course by top tier I mean Urlacher and Lewis. 2nd tier is the best of the rest, right where Brooking fits in.
