QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 05:03 PM) Nope, Alan Scott was the original "Golden Age" Green Lantern, later the "Earth II" Green Lantern after Gardner Fox complicated the DC Universe with the whole parallel Earth's concept. Of course, he was not the first Green Lantern of Space Sector 2814 (the sector containing Earth). Yalan Gur was the earliest Sector 2814 GL to be referenced, and he predates Alan Scott by 2,000 years. Of course, Alan Scott was not part of the GL Corps per se, but his power does derive in part from GL Corps power. None other than Yalan Gur himself died in a free-fall earth reentry, and a 3.5 billion yeear old mystical orb called the Starheart felt his pain and bound to him, forming a meteor-like object that was carved by the lampmaker Chang into the green lantern that would eventually be found by Alan Scott. Got all that? I'm taking it you were alone alot of the time on Valentine's Day?

Peter Sellers - Let them fight in the War Room, Pussy!! 4. Kevin Kline - Jerk, Philanderer and tried to frame Gandhi!! 5. Richard Nixon's Head - No explanation needed.

At my theatre we purchased a Nikon Coolscan converter for our huge archival project. It can up to 50 slides at once. It also does rolls of film. http://nikonimaging.com/global/products/sc...00_ed/index.htm It's an incredible machine. But it can be rather costly. I know HP offers scanners with slide trays. HP Duplex Scanner You also would want a good photo program to adjust the slides after they have been scanned. (like Photoshop)

Rex should retire from NFL football.
RibbieRubarb replied to crazyman26's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
For those just joining us, this is the asinine comment that started it all: QUOTE(crazyman26 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 08:25 AM) Rex should really retire from NFL football. He is not good enough to be an NFL QB and we see that with his inactivity in the NFL so far. He has started only 6 regular season games in 3 years. He has even lost his starting job to the lowly pathetic Kyle Orton. He has no future in the NFL and should head to NFL Europe or the CFL before his stock falls too low they dont want him. From that extreme came this nugget: QUOTE(crazyman26 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 08:40 AM) I know he was injured but even when he was ready after several weeks of practice and reps to be starter again, he only started 2 of 5 games including his playoff start. Orton started 2, with Rex coming in on 1 of them, then Rex 1, then Orton 1, then the playoff game Rex started. So he started the minority of the games even when he was ready to start again according to the coaches. Plus he only got to start since Orton lost the job with a horrable game and a half. Plus the GM has basicaly gauranteed Orton is the starting QB next year in a recent interview, so the writing is on the wall. Rex has never been a starting QB in the NFL and never will be, his stock is high enough right now he should bite the bullet and become a starting regular in another top league like the CFL or NFL Europe rather than drop to a #3 or #4 QB in a few years in the NFL, wishing he had done something else. Then we got this topper: QUOTE(crazyman26 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 01:22 PM) I actually gauranteed 3 years ago when Grossman first came to Chicago he would never be a starting QB. So far I have been right but people tell me I am lucky to be right. It does not matter the reasons though, facts are facts, until he plays alot more than 2 starts in a single NFL season, he has never been a starting QB in the NFL, and I have been right since I predicted it 3 full years ago. Next year if he does not get injured, the people who discredit my prediction of 3 years ago will have run out of excuses I believe, since he will be on the bench behind Orton and no injury there as an excuse. They will have to concede I was right all along that Grossman would never be a starting QB in the NFL. Plus too many more to mention. So to recap...Here are crazyman26's main points: Rex injury was not as severe as we thought, thus he could have played weeks before. Jerry Angelo is on record saying Kyle Orton is the starter in 2006, even though he said Rex is the starter. Rex Grossman has never been a starting QB and will never start a NFL game again, thus he should play for the CFL. Crazyman26's "friends" are always amazed how right he is 100% of the time and we will be too. Everyone caught up?...and ACTION! -

QUOTE(crazyman26 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 01:51 PM) Sorry but to be considered a starting QB he needs to start alot more than 2 games in a given year, and I dont care if 1 of them is a playoff game. Lets say a player was healthy and benched almost all year, and was brough in to play the playoff game would you say he was the starting QB too? I know Rex was not healthy but my point is there is NOTHING so far to prove me wrong on him being a starting QB in the NFL, he has to be alot more games in a season than he so far, whether he plays a playoff game or not. That was NEVER your point. You stated that Jerry Angelo named Kyle Orton as the starter! Which was a lie! That's what we have been calling you out on, but nice try changing the subject. -

QUOTE(crazyman26 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 01:28 PM) Well I guess you wouldnt be willing to give me credit for knowing all along Grossman will never be a starting QB, since you know I will never be proven wrong, and thus dont want to have to give me credit. I take that as a compliment. Ok...I'll give you credit. YOU'RE WRONG!!! Since he has already started, he has been a starting QB in the NFL. I think what you are trying to say is that he will not be a SUCCESSFUL starting QB in the NFL. Plus, NO ONE here is really agruing that point. We we are saying is that your are crazy to be jumping to so many conclusions based on speculation and then pasing it off as fact. -

Even worse he is ging to fire Ron Rivera and replace Brian Urlacher. Brian should quit and go to NFL Euorpe, he could be a big star in Germany! -

OMG!!! Jerry Angelo is going to FIRE Lovie Smith!!!! First, he says that Players need to be in optimum shape is a priority this off-season. First sign! Second, listen how he praises their strength and conditioning coordinator, Rusty Jones! Second Sign! The writing is on wall obviously. No mention of Lovie. He is going to replace Lovie Smith with their strength and conditioning coordinator, Rusty Jones!!! Lovie should retire and coach college football. :rolly -

QUOTE(crazyman26 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 08:53 AM) Read it more closely. He says Rex is starting QB going into training camp, NOT going into the regular season. First sign. Secondly he talks about how much Orton will improve in his 2nd or 3rd years. Second sign. He refers to how much the experience of playing a year will benefit Kyle, etc......It is very easy to see where this is all headed. So yes Kyle is definitely the starter next year, and Rex should get out of the NFL as fast as possable, since he is currently in a place there is atleast a mirage he would have been an NFL starting QB at some point without his injuries, if he stays he will only be seen losing the starting QB job to one of the worst starting QBs in the World and his stock will gradualy fall so low even the CFL and NFL Europe wont pay him as much, or want him as a starter as much. WOW. Again there is no guarantee! Rex is the starter. But you can sure leap to conclusions, make broad assumptions and then declare them as fact faster than anyone i have ever seen! Bravo, that's imagination! -
