The White Sox definitely need to look into blocked first base prospects, that's why I mentioned Trumbo. The others mentioned are good ideas too. Although I think Viciedo has tremendous upside, he's very raw and needs development time. I know there are probably a lot of people on this board who are not comfortable with the idea that Viciedo is the only long term option to replace Konerko in the organization currently.

I like Mark Trumbo of the Angels. He's a first basemen with power and who hits for a good average. What would it take to acquire him? Anybody have any suggestions regarding other blocked prospects the White Sox could go after?

Boston DFA'd Santo Luis. He was on their 40 man and is playing for their AA team. Should the White Sox reaquire?

I'm starting to think the only way to improve the Barons is to either shake up the roster with new players either from Charlotte and Winston-Salem or sign some AA 1/2 type guys. Everybody in B'ham would be happy to see David Cook (Corpus Christi) and Victor Mercedes (Oaxaca) back.

You'd have to wait until Charlotte plays a team on the road that has cameras at their ballpark. Check Charlotte's schedule and you'll see when they're on. Not frequently though. The other affiliates are never on.

If Trayce Thompson is anything like Mike Stanton, then the White Sox have something special.
