  1. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 03:35 PM) To me its Cooper, but I've only seen Season 1. In my opinion, to define someone as morally ambiguous there has to be a consistent pattern of behavior. Vic Mackey from "The Shield" was that way for 7 seasons. Peggy Olson from "Mad Men" is just human and makes mistakes. Bert Cooper is just an old business man who likes to pull the strings.
  2. It's not far fetched to say that Peggy is the conscious of the show.
  3. I expected that priest to make a pass at Peggy, if that tells you what that show's tone is like.
  4. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 03:23 PM) That's some morally ambiguous s*** if you ask me. I'm not saying it was right, but that's a far stretch to get to morally ambiguous as a whole. "Mad Men" overall is dark and lacking moral characters. Everybody on the show is flawed in some way.
  5. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 03:19 PM) There was a second time when they both arrived early to the office after he came back from his honeymoon. That was more about giving into temptation based on previous experience.
  6. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 03:17 PM) By sleeping with Peter Campbell? He wasn't married at the time. She was influenced by her new environment. Plus, their relationship is based on the fact that Peggy is not as complicated and high maintenance as Trudy.
  7. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 03:14 PM) Peggy Olson. I haven't seen season 3 yet, but I don't think she is that ambiguous as much as I've seen. Just trying to make her way.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 8, 2010 -> 03:13 PM) *cough* I was echoing your sentiment.
  9. Vic Mackey from "The Shield" is probably a perfect example. One of the best shows ever.
  10. I say Pink Floyd for Super Bowl 45! Who's with me? Well, I know it would be just Gilmour (whom I share a b'day with, awesome) and Mason, but that's good enough for me. Waters is a tool.
  11. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 10:21 PM) I decided only earlier today to pull for the Saints. I'm glad they won. The commercials mostly were not memorable. I liked the Simpsons Coke commercial maybe the best. The Who were alright especially considering the age of Pete and Roger. I'm very nearly 60 and they're older than me...they gotta be close to 70. Considering the Who as a band were in their prime about 40 years ago...that was a pretty good performance. Daltrey's older than my Dad, and my Dad is 64 going on 65.
  12. QUOTE (lostfan @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 10:01 PM) Fox overproduces the s*** out of everything. You can end up forgetting to watch the actual game sometimes. Terry Bradshaw saps all their credibility.
  13. QUOTE (juddling @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 09:57 PM) i missed The Who at halftime....took the family out for Coldstone ice cream. I'm thinking it was the better move. Gotta have it.
  14. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 07:57 PM) You're currently in fifth. That's to be expected with that name. Does that statement hold double meaning?
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 07:15 PM) That would have been 10x better if Keith Moon had been around to randomly detonate the stage afterwards. Trashing the instruments would have made it for me.
  16. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 01:49 PM) Lots of people have cold sores. Touch a nerve? It's Joe Mauer, shouldn't we revel in it?
  17. Can someone enlighten me to why Ranger is running away with this one? I'm not sure I recall anything he's written.
  18. Everybody missed my observation that Mauer has herpes. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 08:20 PM) Did anyone see that wicked googly on his upper lip in the interview he did on Hot Stove? Does Herpes get a 10 year extension?
  19. I voted for Jeff, man rocks the stats knowledge.
  20. I've been told I'm too optimistic on here.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 01:42 PM) daaaammmmnnn. Those are bigger than my wife's! That's her husband by the way. Yes, we all had a chance with her. Depressing, isn't it.
  22. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Feb 1, 2010 -> 03:05 PM) You know the liquidy nacho cheese that comes with nachos at US Cellular Field and other places that serve typical nachos? Well, where in the world can you buy that nacho cheese? The reason I ask is because everytime I make my taco salad, which is copied from my old high school's taco salad, I can't find the typical liquid-style nacho cheese in food stores. The only liquid-style cheese I can find is some kind of mexican brand in a small mexcian food section at Jewel, but it doesn't taste anything like the nacho cheese that normally comes with nachos. And even the people working at food stores has no idea where to find nacho cheese, what the hell? The only stuff they can think of is the typical cheese dip that you find in the chip aisle, which is nothing like nacho cheese. So does anyone here have any idea where I can find nacho cheese without having to make it from scratch? Melt some plastic. Bingo.
  23. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 3, 2010 -> 04:08 PM) Haha, I don't want to sound as jaded as Beast when I say this, but it seems to me that she's just keeping you around as a future option to fall back on. Fall back on...
