Did anyone see that wicked googly on his upper lip in the interview he did on Hot Stove? Does Herpes get a 10 year extension?

Haven't seen "Up In The Air," but "The Hurt Locker" and "Inglorious Basterds" were the two best movies I've seen in the past year. Melanie Laurent got snubbed though for an Oscar. Christoph Waltz and her make that movie, plain and simple. "The Hurt Locker" was the truest and most realistic war drama I've ever seen.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 1, 2010 -> 07:57 AM) If Danks doesn't hit 30 HR...then the only way he'll ever being a starter big leagues is if he cuts down on the strikeouts by like 33% or more. Otherwise he'll be hitting .250 or below with 10-15 HR's. True, but I think he'll have a break out year this year as long as he stays healthy. -
I'm only saying yes because it's you. Hell, I got s*** from people in high school and I had a black '98 Mustang. I've had a black '99 Mustang and a baby blue '07 Mustang since.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 27, 2010 -> 11:19 PM) I know 60 is a good review, but I can't believe Danks is only a 60 in fielding. I absolutely loved him in CF when I saw him when he was playing for Texas. Maybe he just had a great weekend, but he was all over the place. I definitely thought Jordan was a solid defender from what I saw of him. He had to cover a lot of ground at Regions. -
QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 29, 2010 -> 03:08 PM) What I meant to say was, I used to work at a Crepe Factory. Did you make cigars before that?

Somebody needs to tell Jeff Cox to give up #8. He's a third base coach, I can't stand to see coaches take up low numbers unless they have connection to it. In regards to number #17, it's one of the few available low numbers. Nobody was assigned #22, 31, 32, 33 or 39.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 29, 2010 -> 09:58 PM) Juan Dog, I like it. Soxtalk official?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 30, 2010 -> 05:49 PM) I can. Dude is a god damn idiot. You can still be holier than thou and make that paper. A desire to be a priest negates any desire to fund a ministry. But, I understand what you mean. He could have played a little longer before going into the priesthood.

The Brady Clark who didn't play last year much and will be 37 in April. And, according to his Wikipedia page and MLB.com, is technically retired. I guess it's a comeback.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 28, 2010 -> 10:46 PM) I totally miss wrapping my newborn kids up as tight little baby burritos in those hospital blankets. My wife couldn't roll a baby burrito for s***e, but but I rolled 'em up good and snug, they stayed good and snug. We're the opposite, I can't do it at all. Plus, my little monster doesn't like his arms wrapped up.

Finally home, but my pup is super excited about his new little brother. Gotta get him calmed down.

The White Sox signed Brady Clark...yeah, I don't get it either.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 27, 2010 -> 07:01 PM) My little one died today. I'm so sorry for your loss. I bet he was a great little buddy.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 26, 2010 -> 01:55 PM) And a little disappointed in the lack of Chuck in his name.

So far, so good. Still waiting to bring him home.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 24, 2010 -> 04:00 PM) I remember not caring a lot about the minor league teams in MLB games until I played The Show last year, and got some downloadable rosters online. But once the prospects are named, it's really fun playing as minor league teams. I know, that's why it's important to me. I'm one of those people who take the time to create the most realistic minor league rosters possible. MLB 2K8 gives the user a lot of customizing options. With all the generic minor league players in that game, you can find a face that's similar to most any player.
-
QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jan 24, 2010 -> 09:43 AM) The minors in MVP baseball stunk though because the player progression was horrible in that game. Even so, if they have AAA and AA that is where most of the top prospects will be anyways. I have two seasons worth of time invested in 2K8 with a White Sox franchise and the minor league teams. It also saves me the time of starting over as all I have to do is add the players the White Sox have added at the major and minor league level. I play that franchise at all four levels.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 24, 2010 -> 12:31 AM) For some reason, I think if the Sox hold on to Retherford, he'll be a starter without a position. That's what Chone Figgins did.
-
QUOTE (SnB @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 11:43 AM) i've never heard of anyone so adamant about such a little fact. I want to be able to play AAA, AA and A+, that's 90 teams. Not really a little fact. If I can't do that, then there's no point for me. That's why I kept playing MVP 2005 for three years up until 2008.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 04:39 PM) "MacGruber" just looks awful. Of course, why should anyone expect a good movie out of an awful SNL sketch? Isn't SNL awful period?

I've enjoyed my trips to Chicago and appreciate the hospitality. Chicago's the nicest big city in the US.

Watched "The Hurt Locker" last night. Great movie, hope it wins the Oscar.
