QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 08:42 PM) Tyler Kuhn is 13 for his last 19 in high-A. That's one heck of a streak. Certainly a candidate for Future Sox hot and cold next week.

QUOTE (letsgoarow @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) He hasn't left the golden corral except to go to the bathroom, and grab a snack at taco bell. Ugh...Golden Corral. That place IS Hell.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 03:50 PM) I can remove it you like; I just thought that it was funny - looking back. It was an ignorant comment on my part. As long as I don't lose any respect over it, I guess it's okay.

A snack for Bartolo...

QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 03:10 PM) You say that, but you know Wise is staying. That's how Oz and KW roll. "The White Sox needed to draft a buzzworthy offensive prospect that could breeze through the minors like a Jay Bruce or a Ryan Braun. Not some douchey infielder named Gordon." Wow. Did I actually say that? Honestly I didn't know anything about him at the time, but I really liked Justin Smoak. Egg on face, foot in mouth. Yikes. Alternate response...I was drunk. I failed to get his autograph anyway, so karma bit my a$$.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 12:19 PM) Wise farewell tour, or Anderson to AAA? There's no point sending Anderson down. It's just time to move on from Wise, even if he has picked it up a little lately.

QUOTE (WCSox @ Jul 4, 2009 -> 12:07 AM) We'll take a hit defensively, but there's no way that we can take Pods out of the lineup right now. I hope that Quentin's return means that Wise gets DFA'd. If Pods suffers his annual groin injury before the end of July, Juan Pierre might be an option. With Manny back, the Dodgers might be looking to move him. If the White Sox decide to deal Dye, then Quentin might take his spot. Of course the team would have to struggle mightily at this point for that to happen.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 04:51 PM) There is now. You can do this 7/3 thread, I gotta split. I have to leave too.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 04:29 PM) To be added shortly... There wasn't a 7/2 thread.

Crossing my fingers that it begins tonight with Birmingham. Where do you guys think he'll rehab?

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 2, 2009 -> 06:05 PM) Maybe they think the pitching coach in Kanny is more suited to help out Griffith than the pitching coach in Bristol. Plus, for all we know, Griffith was throwing nasty stuff up there but struggled with command/consistency. I wouldn't say he was struggling until after at least 4 starts. 7 K's and 7 BB in 9 innings sounds like nobody was swinging.

QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Jul 2, 2009 -> 10:31 PM) Just got back from the game in Durham, I left during the rain delay in the 7th. Except for Brandon Allen, the whole team was atrocious. Marquez was absolutely shelled. Lillibridge and Betemit had a handful of errors between the two of them, and each had a base running blunder. Allen went 1-3. His first at bat, facing Sonnanstine, he took a few pitches very nicely and lined a shot right up to the right field wall. His second at bat he took an outside fastball off the left field wall for a double. It was a great at bat, as he didn't try to do too much but showed great opposite field power. It was very impressive. His third at bat, facing Jorge Julio, he whiffed on a 94mph fastball and struckout on a change. What I was MOST surprised with was his athleticism at 1B. He ran down a popup in foul territory down the line with an over the shoulder catch. He had to look straight back into the sun, but pulled it off rather athletically. It showed how great his hands are. I don't know a ton about his background, but the kid looks like a great athlete. Brandon rarely goes the other way, so I hope he's working on that. He can do the splits pretty good too.

Even more fresh hotness over at Future Sox.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 1, 2009 -> 09:04 PM) I think we will be wowed by Viciedo next year. He was just getting his foot wet this year, next year is when I expect to really break out. I think he's getting both feet wet.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 1, 2009 -> 09:49 PM) Flowers has Your Love by The Outfield. It's taken. He's been using it since Beckham left, he had another song by The Outfield before that.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 1, 2009 -> 12:32 AM) JPN, Marrero would be another interesting interview subject if you think he'd be game. I don't think people know much about him. I was thinking that myself, he seems cool.
-
Oh yeah, David Cook hit another absolute bomb. It made that special sound that only his homers make. It's a no doubter halfway through the crack of the bat.
-
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 1, 2009 -> 12:01 AM) Christian Marrero was 0-6 till that GW single to score Cook. Damn, I left after the 14th. I always give Christian props after a win and I missed the chance with him getting a walk off.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 02:34 PM) 11 All-Stars? s*** thats a lot. Imagine if Beckham and Poreda weren't called up either, they'd probably be looking at 13! Probably.
