I also had four teeth pulled before braces. First they rubbed that stuff on the gums to numb them.....then they used three shots of novicaine for each. I felt the needle when it was deepest in....didn't necessarily hurt.....but it was just weird. Later that day I had a sore mouth but it was gone after a few days. Also, I drooled a ton......
