  1. Sorry, JD, but according to the PhogBlog, Darrell Arthur has reopened his recruitment.
  2. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 11:39 PM) Absolutely not, Aldridge will own the inside. Aldride has to also guard the best post passer I ahve ever seen. If KU beats Texas, I will suspend myself for a week.
  3. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 11:36 PM) IU will NOT get in the tourney, unless they reach the semis of the Big 10 tourney. MY Jayhawks are in 1st place and fighting for the Big 12 at Texas on prime time saturday night. I never ever expected that. Julian Wright is god. Let me guess, you also agree with the people at PhogBlog (who I like and work with) that Julian Wright has an edge over Lamarcus Aldridge?
  4. The parts of Knight School that I saw were pretty solid.
  5. No more Bobby in motion pictures. PLEASE>
  6. Heads22 replied to Yoda's topic in SLaM
Section 1. Like A Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan vs. Baba O' Reilley - The Who Section 2. All Along The Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix vs. Street Fighting Man - The Rolling Stones vs. A Day In The Life - The Beatles
  7. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) Oh, ok, who are the sig makers? Goldmember, Deploderer, SuperSteve back in the day, SoxFan1, knightni, Kalapse and some others. Check throughout the forum to see as well.
  8. Typically we don't do that because we don't want the few guys who make sigs around here feel obligated to make them in order to appease people. People often time can make a thread like this to see if anyone will do it, or they could take a chance and PM one of the sig makers. However, we certainly aren't going to make it anyone's "job" or anything to do it.
  9. All District 12 Team released as voted on by NABC (seems to include Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Colorado) District 12 First Team Taj Gray, Oklahoma Curtis Stinson, Iowa State Richard Roby, Colorado Greg Brunner, Iowa Ben Jacobson, Northern Iowa Second Team Brandon Rush, Kansas Thomas Gardner, Missouri Adam Haluska, Iowa Cartier Martin, Kansas State Caleb Green, Oral Roberts Anyone else think that first team is pretty damn good? (Save it JD)
  10. So, who looks older without a hat? Cliff or Coop?
  11. He also said Pods would be a possibility in center last year. Don't get me wrong, it's no surprise if Thome gets the third spot, but it shouldn't surprise anyone if he didn't.
  12. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 10:57 PM) Ah yes, the best restraunt in Ames. It's about the same as licking the dumpster outside some places around here though. It still costs less..
  13. The race to replace Vilsack is heating up here, with democrat Chet Culver holding a one percentage point lead over Jim Nussle. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/2006/State...%20February.htm
  14. Hit -15 here this morning.
  15. http://eqonion.com/video/riot.wmv Yay, VEISHEA.
  16. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 10:53 PM) Ames eh? On a personal note, when I was in HS a few years ago we had a transfer student from Ames, he was straight up the best athlete I had the priviledge of playing baseball with. He was in the mold of 6-2 190 SS's with a cannon arm and good hit. He and I were captains of the team our junior and senior years--he was a great teamate and competitor. He played a year for Albion here in MI then hung it up due to differences with the coach. I have great respect for Iowa and Ames' athletes because of him. Hmmm....not sure who you're talking about, but these central Iowa folk generally seem to be nice.
  17. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 10:46 PM) Heads: love that counter. ONLY 42 DAYS TILL BASEBALL! I believe it's even adjusted for DST. Either way, the guy next door to me and I are planning on getting some BBQ and watching it. Anyone from Ames Iowa should know what I'm talking about when I mention Hickory Park. Cheat, I'm going to assume you've had some as well.
  18. Damn Judy Garland as well.
  19. I personally don't care if he's an ace or not. He's pitched balls out every year for us and he's brought home the wins. He's a class act, a fan favorite and a damn good pitcher.
  20. So, Iowa State shot 56% and still lost. I suppose that's what happens when you let a team make 13 threes.
  21. Well then. That was beyond awkward.
  22. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 07:59 PM) bahahahaha, I didn't even notice that right away. http://www.blacktable.com/gillin041202.htm ^Guide to Jesus toast.
  23. Again, I say if IU steps out of the alumni ranks, Greg McDermott from Northern Iowa is a possibility. But then again, I wouldn't want to hate the Hoosiers. Oooh, dinner.
