ISU better be focused as f***. There's another very important aspect of the ISU game. There was two. The Big 12 recieved a waiver for the North Champion if they were 6-6. This would've only happened if Colorado lost as did ISU but ISU got the berth in the Championship game and lost Oklahoma. ISU could then have played in a bowl. The waiver is because as of right now ISU only has five wins against Division I-A competition, with a 23-0 win over Northern Iowa to start the season. Now there is no threat of ISU going 6-6 in the regular season. But if ISU gets that 7th win tomorrow, they no longer need to use the UNI game for bowl eligibility, opening the door for them to schedule Illinois State as has been discussed next year. Them, along with a game at Army and a home game with Iowa will be by far the easiest home schedule the Clones have had in a while. With their next three games being @ Nebraska, home vs. Baylor and at Missouri, ISU could realistically start out 5-1 and 6-0 with the septic tank that is the North. Otherwise ISU will be scrambling for a I-A opponent which may put them in a position where a win may not be a gimme. There's much more than a date with Oklahoma at stake tomorrow at the Jack. This game has the potential to greatly affect next year.
