It's hard to tell how Sale was today without being able to see. Just a bad outing our was his stuff diminished... Any indication he is wearing down?

Awesome. Good job admins.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 12:54 AM) I'm not saying it would be ideal for Sale pitching so many innings his first season starting after being in the bullpen, but I don't see them shutting him down and almost killing their chances in the playoffs either. My point isn't in them just shutting him down as a preemptive precautionary move but rather that Sales arm doesn't hold up and he needs to be shut down. I hope it doesn't happen and he may be fine... I just wouldn't place all my eggs in that basket. Newtons law, 'member?

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 12:40 AM) Unless he starts to completely collapse at the end of season... That is a distinct possibility and anyone who doesn't doubt Sale pitching 160+ is naive in my opinion. I hope he pitches for 2,000 innings for us with a single major injury or set back but that's not too realistic. Banking on Sale being an ace this year for he entire year and into the playoffs - also not too realistic.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 12:13 AM) Brewers shopping Frankie Rodriquez if willing to eat the $4mill. remaining on his contract. He was just named the closer perhaps to showcase him. It looks nice and all and could be a great addition of course... He also has a 1.4 WHIP over the past two years. Reed is at 1.2 for the year. Bring him in to close for us the rest of the way, slide Reed to the setup role, have Crain as the second righty, Thornton as your first lefty... Sounds good to me.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 07:06 PM) Sale is their starter in game 1 of the postseason, no doubt. There actual are doubts as to Sale even pitching in the postseason - period.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 16, 2012 -> 10:11 PM) All I've been hearing is Pedro Hernandez being the TBA guy . That'd be fun to watch - I've been looking forward to seeing his stuff and performance in the show.

QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Jul 16, 2012 -> 02:26 PM) Hawkins is just way to far out to call him an impact bat at this point. Yep, see the words "could" and "lower wings" QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Jul 16, 2012 -> 02:26 PM) Viciedo has way too much swing and miss and few walks to put up with IMO. But that's a whole 'nother topic... I'll take all the swing and miss with few walks from a rookie on pace for 30HR and 85RBI. He still even at this point has a TON of untaped potential. I wanna keep tank, that's for sure. Just me thou

QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Jul 16, 2012 -> 02:17 PM) Let me know when the White Sox develop an impact bat, let alone have one in their system. Viciedo is a developed impact bat - it's his rookie season. This was a position of weakness for sure - so they grabbed Hawkins and Barnum... There could be an impact bat waiting in the lower wings now.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 16, 2012 -> 04:16 AM) Santos' initial shoulder diagnosis and progression is eerily similar to Danks'. I hope it's not a labrum - from what I understand, it's a b**** to come back from. -
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 16, 2012 -> 04:48 AM) I've started scouting Twitter and other message boards for info from k0na (who has broken trades/signings in the past), and nothing from him yet. Good work gumshoe

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 09:23 PM) Dunn is now the league leader in HRs. I'm happy that he has some success this season. They just need to have some guys on when he pops those. Me thinks he should be cleanin up in front of Paulie and his .400 OBP

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 12:26 PM) For a team that needs a closer, a top of the rotation starter, has a LF who isn't worth the wait, a SS who needs to go, they sure are doing fine. I think Reed is doing really well. If we get a veteran closer, fine - slide reed back and he'll be fine there too. Top of the rotation starter? We have two until Sale gets shelved or Peavy has a setback. I don't see both of those cases happening and feel that we just need a middle of the rotation starter. Viciedo... Not worth the wait... Ummmm.... I'm happy as a clam and know it'll only get better. Alexi... Needs to go? I think he'll be a huge key the rest of the year... If we're gonna do this - Alexi is gonna be big.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 06:13 PM) Does anyone like it? The Sox probably like the cash from AT&T - but that's about it I'd guess.
