wtf is SST thread nomine?
-
the guy just got here and told me that its for a series of promo commercials for the next NCAA season.... the idea is centered around the family, and will have shots of random family members doing normal daily tasks... but baseketball will be a theme... like the wife gets outta the shower and goes into her closet, to find that all she has in there is 1,000's of basketballs... the guys getting his suit of to go to work and is taping up his ankles and putting on wrist bands like hes gettin ready for a big game.... another guy gets home from work and goes into his spa (the ones they have in locker rooms) stuff like that he also said that hes seen a lot of house, but really likes this the best so far.... he just keeps walking around with a digital camera, taking about 100+ pictures... almost every time saying, "yeah, this is good" heh cool stuff
-
no, im not drunk i live near the hollywood area and my parents have their house regestered with some service that sets your property up as a location for filming anything from movies, to commercials, to tv shows so, we shall see =D that would rock, then you all could see my living room and my kick ass 53 inch hdtv... of course, ill have to put something sox related in the shot... hat, jersey, sign that says, GO WHITE SOX... www.soxtalk.com heh...maybe they'll even let me get drunk on camera and it'll be part of the commercial

they wanna film a commerical for espn at my house and are gonna be here in 10 minutes to tell me if they wanna use it and make an offer... whoa

how can you say that the koch trade is better then the garcia trade? koch was addition by subtraction but we havent seen anything other then that on the major leauge level, that SS prospect is doin good in AAA but that dosent mean anything... on the other hand garcia is what, 5 and 2... maybe 5 and 1? i have to go with that as the best trade right now... lowisa looks better then koch too oh well
-
huh, i forgot about terentino doin fiction.... i dont know why, but in a lot reviews the director of hell boy is mentioned as having something to do with pulp fiction
-
i gotta go with, 1. garcia trade 2. lowisa trade 3. koch trade 4. carl dinosaur trade
-
ok ladies and gents.... i like movies with substance, movies that make you think, feel, laugh, cry, etc.... my fav. films are such as, momento, waking life, human nature, etc i picked up hellboy just to get something light and entertaining, i expected nothing but a film that would keep my attention and distract myself from reality i got much more this film is witty, beautiful in terms of visuals and cameria work, has a really really good story for a comic book flick, was directed wonderfully, has a good message in it, and has good laughs.... it is one of the best movies ive seen this year i scoffed at the chance to see a screening for free when it was in the theaters, and im glad i did give it a chance on dvd... it was my last choice to rent and im glad i got around to it if youve seen it, tell me what you thought, if not, give it a try... i mean, the director of pulp fiction did it, its gotta be good =D

yankee fans wanting to see what we are thinking about the trade?
-
all good points, velocity down, not pitching like he should, and his cutter just isnt the same however, the east dosent know him as well as the west, so if he can pitch agressivly, get some pointers about his cutter from rivara, and some how get by with a loss of 2 -3 mph in velocity, i think he could turn around a bit not gonna be the same elow from last year, but may get better then he has been with us this year... i think he'll be kinda inbetween
-
"... Torre and the coaching staff -- they wanted me since four years ago, when I was with Texas." if this is true then why didnt they pick him up goin into the 2003 season :headshake "He's not going to have that knockout stuff that Jose had, but he'll show more control," Torre added. even torre knows Jose has better stuff
-
not the same team, but an example of how things can be turned around atl. braves as of july 3rd.... 3 and 1/2 games out atl. braves as of aug. 1st.... 5 and 1/2 games IN FIRST we can do this, if your off the train, get back on!!!! LETS GO SOX!
-

-
i dont think he's ever faced a team this weak EVER let me check, NOPE faced detroit this year.... a couple weeks ago.... 8 IP 1 ER faced TB this year.... also a couple weeks ago.... 7 IP 1 ER NICE i think both those teams are better then KC i hope that he dosent have any gitters about bein on a new team or anything, because it would be SWEET to see him put up a bunch of GOOSE EGGS! =D
-
because i wanna see if there is one professional writer who knowledgeable enough to look past the pinstripes and see this trade for what it was.
-
right after the trade e low said that he loved the white sox, because of the players and the relationships he made... he said he would LIKE to come back BECAUSE the sox are the ones that took a chance on him in 2003 if he dosent get his stuff back, i wouldnt want him here for 3 mill a year!
-
schoey is your fav. player?
-
anyone here see any paper articles that have the white soxs as the team who won this trade?
-
""I'll give him three days off to rest," Guillen said of Everett. "I expect him to be ready for the Kansas City series.""
-
with this win and KC commin up, im really hopin we can get it goin... i mean come on, KC is the worst team in the AL.... we need to win all 3 here, and get some steam/confidance goin into the 4 games against CLE... at this point id be happy with a split in that series... but we need to win it.... really f***in bad and then we got another 3 against KC minny won again today against boston =(

kenny williams has been on of the soxs all stars this year

josh, for once i understand what ure sayin man =D i am very opposed to the war, very opposed to our politics, and very opposed to our countrys leadership and some of its values at its core/foundation im sure carlos delgado feels in some ways the same and dosent stand as an act that is indeed harboing his freedom of speach i say to that, right on carlos call me unpatrotic or whatever, but i honestly and seriously DISLIKE a lot about this country... i do like some things about it too with that said josh.... you did react a little strong, violence begets violence, any kind of atack will put someone on the defensive and will not harbor effective communication * side note, see what happens when hi8is stops drinking for a few days, wow, a lot more well constructed then, EAT A DICK * oh and, :fthecubs

i think for the next few games, you do this since jose v. has 4 errors in 7 games and is 0 - 24 you, leading off rowand - CF harris - 2B LEE - LF paulie - 1B timo - rf crede - 3b borchard - dh uribe - ss burke/davis- C when everett gets back, whole line up changes

2004, a short list, no joking.... in no order 1. i for one am very happy with jon garlands progress... yes, he has looked like "judy" for a couple of starts, yet... he has shown more signs of dominance and has racked up a lot of quality starts... and quickly became out 3rd best starter (ahead of e low and shoey) 2. paulie turning this year around and breakin out 3. carlos lee and his improvments at the plate and in the field 4. big MO, olivo was making tremendious progress this year 5. burly, even thou he had a few really rough starts in which he couldnt find his stuff in the first 2 innings, i really think he is starting to establish himself as a front end, #1/#2 type of guy. 6. freddy garcia trade, gotta love that we have freddy, who i think will only get better and will start to become the ACE that the M's always thought he would be. 7. trading e-low was a great thing, the guy was dead here, wasnt going to be comin back, was losing if not lost his stuff, and in return we have a pitcher with the most upside ive seen in a LONG LONG TIME. 8. Big Frank was doing really well also before he got hurt 9. Its the 1st of August, with two months of baseball left, we have a good 1 - 4 rotation with a 5th starter that can keep us in games from time to time... we are trying to turn things around, and i feel we have shown the heart and desire before... and can again 10. minny has one tough schedule comming up and we have a chance 2005, things i like, things i want/dont want 1. we have a starting rotation of garcia, burly, cont., garland, (free agent of diaz) 2. we most likey have paulie, lee, everett, and thomas comming back.... thats some power right there... 3. we have rowand who hopefully in 2004 not only realised his potential but showed to more fans and staff that he is indeed a very good centerfielder who can hit at the top of the line up 4. we got takatsu commin back 5. maggs jose v alomar jr and e low are gone next year and that frees up about 26 million to sign free agents with... i know that some of that went to garcia and contr. but with our attendance figures up to a high since 2000/1994.... we should get some more pay roll to become a bigger market team.... this gives us money to get a lead off hitter with. next year here is what id like to see.... starting rotation.... pavano or another front end starter, garcia, burly, contr., and garland as a rotation..... bull pen... cotts, diaz, shoey, marte, free agent, and takatsu line up: lead off hitter (preferably a short stop that hits for ave and has good obs with speed) rowand CF lee LF thomas DH Kong 1B everett RF crede 3B harris 2B burke/davis C --------------------------------- in no way am i giving up on this season, i think that we do have a good enough team to win this divsion, we will just have to learn how to produce 4+ runs a game in other ways, aka: doing the small things that KW said would have won 5 of our last few recent games. we have a very solid rotation and our bullpen has been some what acceptable our team has the chance to win the division or wild card this season, and will be a very big threat next year as well
