QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 08:54 PM) lostfan, would you rather have Eva as your gf or Evan as our 3rd baseman? QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 08:55 PM) I don't wish to speak for lf, but I think he'd say Eva - as would I. ^^this I love the Sox, but not that much. lol.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 08:48 PM) I wonder if Evan and Eva Longoria are related, they are both Mexican-American and only and n separates their name! Actually they are the same person, you never seen them in the same room at the same time, huh? They're not related, it's just a crazy coincidence. edit: although if Eva could play 3B and hit like Evan, it'd be one more reason to want to f*** her really bad.

Nice way to come back and draw a walk by BA.

QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 08:31 PM) Ozzie... CQ in left, Owens in center and Anderson in right? Seriously? Dye is DHing, but even there, the best alignment IMO is Owens-Anderson-Quentin.

f*** yes JD!!!

QUOTE (Cubano @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 08:22 PM) What is the record for most bases loaded HR? Also, I have read a lot about the Medoza line? Is that a player's last name that hit 200? Is 200 de mark? Thanks The guy who it's named after is Mario Mendoza. Where it actually is depends on who you ask, usually it's .200, sometimes I hear people say it's .215. That's considered the line that is between "bad" and "horrible" hitting.

QUOTE (Cubano @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 08:18 PM) I saw el jonronazo del Misil cubano. Alexei is back! "I saw a home run from the Cuban Missile?"
-
QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 08:16 PM) Stoney completely called that grand slam, too. I love having him instead of DJ. There's nobody on the team I'd rather have up with the bases juiced than Alexei.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 08:10 PM) How about a little bit of that power here BA... Now would be a nice time for that first home run.

QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 08:08 PM) f***ing Bears... I have waited anxiously for 4 and a half hours for the 49th pick and now they trade it to the Hawks. lol my thoughts exactly... I'm not exactly opposed to trading out of the pick, but damn, I want a WR drafted.

Owens hits a ball semi-hard.

That was a pretty awesome play.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 07:01 PM) Give me an example in the past 10 years of Republicans doing that, and I'll accept your point. http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/0...ve_repor_1.html Business as usual.

QUOTE (hawkubes @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 06:35 PM) Although Corky's performed well to this point, you may as well add Miller and Anderson to this list and call it the worst 5. In fairness, they did have to shake things up some tonight, the past two games have been unwatchable. He said right now - right now, Miller and Anderson are both doing not bad.

Aw man. I'm gonna miss her at all those Friars Club/Comedy Central roasts.

QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 04:39 PM) Oh, and the Raiders are such a waste of a franchise. I feel so bad for Raiders fans.
-
QUOTE (jamesdiego @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 04:12 PM) And now it begins, Lillibridge to the rescue tonight. Playing CF, battin 2nd. Anderson to RF, Dye to DH. Did Brent even play CF in spring training, how's his D? I think this means Owens is out soon, with Nix coming up. blog I didn't see him play, but I believe Lillibridge did play CF in ST.

Frankly I don't care that they didn't let him speak and things like that don't even register on my radar. Do you really think the Republicans don't do the same kind of thing, on an issue as highly policitized as this? (I said this in another thread)

Chicago Bulls new dynasty: Derrick Rose and Lebron James
lostfan replied to rangercal's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:53 PM) yeah that's true, and I realize this is just for fun. but it woulnd't take other teams 10 years to be able to put comparable people on their roster. and do you think Vinny Del Negro would be able to coach the team? lol, dude you and me could coach that team. -

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:29 PM) Yeah but it's not realistic. And come on people, so far 8 people think 10 championships if this were to happen? Are you kidding me? If LeBron was on the team they'd win at least a championship, how many I don't know, but other teams would start doing the same thing and you'd see for example Kobe, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard etc. being with the Lakers. It's not a matter of wanting to. It's a matter of being able to do it. -
More than, say, Balta? Who is about to have a PhD in geology and could rattle off more about it in 10 minutes than all of my knowledge about it combined? Or other people like him? Or are they just corrupted by our "liberal education system" (whatever that means). I don't have a firm opinion on global warming (besides really obvious things that people are stupid if they don't believe, like the fact that greenhouse gases retain heat), but generally I find the arguments from the majority of the anti-global warming crowd to be laughable, and they have no room to talk about anyone. Like showing me data from a single year, or only going back to 2003 to show me the earth is cooling. lol.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 03:18 PM) LINK When I was talking about how the cat was already out of the bag in the Dem thread, concerning the PR damage that the release of the documents was going to do, this is what I meant. We can't really make it any worse.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 10:19 AM) This is a very sad day in a America when Congress actually bans a brilliant scientist from testifying on a hearing about global warming. I am truly ashamed to be an American right now, because I thought things were different in America. It's not the first time and it won't be the last time. The Republicans block/suppress pro-global warming people all the time. Business as usual.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 09:49 AM) Oh yeah, I'm sure they'd reveal all their plans over a nice cup of tea. No offense but you don't really have a clue what you're talking about here. By the way, if you think you can get information over a nice cup of tea, then why not?
