Stupid attempt by Pena to tag up, gets nailed easily by Anderson.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 08:15 PM) Yep, Q's wrist is going to be a problem this year. Only 6 homers so far... god he sucks this year

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 07:11 PM) Jermaine looks shaken up in the dugout. PK with the double, 2-0 Sox! How is that?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 07:09 PM) I'm a fan of how they don't count you for an RBI when you GIDP. "You suck, you gave up 2 outs, you don' t get the RBI". I never knew that.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 05:17 PM) It's not the greatest shot in the world for him to be taking, but it's becoming a more effective part of his game. If he can add a bit of a driving ability or a bit of a post-up ability to that, so that the guy guarding him has to play him high and low, and he can either beat the guy guarding him off the dribble or take the shot if the guy backs off, then that jumper's going to be a solid weapon. I wouldn't call him a solid dribbler or a slasher by any means, but I think it's fair to say his ballhandling is improved quite a bit.

QUOTE (rexy2006 @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 04:50 PM) I KNOW this is not the correct place to post this question. I'm new to this forum. I am a fairly new Sox fan. I became a Scott Linebrink fan when he was with the Padres. When he went to the Sox, I became a fan and follower of the Sox. For several reasons. I love Ozzie. I love Q. I love Sox baseball and watch games as often as we can. We have already attended several games in LA and Anaheim. I believe in them. I went to Spring Training in AZ this year and went to 2 Sox workouts and 2 Sox games at the new facility, which is beautiful, by the way. (I will gladly post photos, but have not found the place to do this.) I hope this is enough background to convince people that I am not a troll. Anyways, my sister and I attended a game at LA last year, in Sox gear, when the Sox played LA in LA. Jermaine Dye came out, walking to his place out in right field. While he was walking, he was obviously looking towards our section. We were in Sox gear, in the 2nd row. He spotted us, sitting in the section next to the Sox bullpen. He started to look at us, then pointed both fingers at us. (We thought he was pointing to the bullpen at the time. Like in a greeting.) We didnt know to do anything, so we didnt. We only smiled. Then he put his hands on his hips, and looked at us as if to say, "Well?" Then he shrugged his shoulders. Then, after getting no response out of us, except for smiling at him, he pointed 2 fingers at his eyes, then 2 fingers at us, like "Okay. I'm watching YOU." We had no way to know he had "chosen" us for some ritual of which we knew not of. The point is, my sister is going to a Sox game next weekend, at US Cellular, for the first time. She will be attending with an, ew, Cubs fan friend of hers. Sis would like to know is there some ritual that Jermaine does when he gets out to RF in the first inning? Or was this just a random thing he did because he spotted 2 Sox fans out there? If it is some sort of ritual he does, what is the proper way for us to respond to this? She, and us in the future, when we attend games in LA, Anaheim and wherever else, to see the Sox, want to know what the correct response is to Jermaine, if anyone knows. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Would the admin please place this question in the right location. The "search" feature was turned off when I went looking for the correct location to place this in. Welcome to Soxtalk! I've sat out in RF at away games before (Camden Yards, with a Dye jersey on even) and I've never seen him do anything like that before. I think it was just some random spur of the moment type thing. In fact he's usually pretty quiet and doesn't pay much attention to the crowd, except once on a foul ball he stopped find a kid he could throw the ball to. By the way, you can put these kinds of questions in Pale Hose Talk.

Rose is so humble, it's like he refuses to take credit for anything even though he basically won that game almost single-handedly and put up a historic rookie performance.

YES!!!

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 03:32 PM) how do you make that foul call? It was legit. Rose knew it too. I guess the silver lining is that they didn't get that basket.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 03:27 PM) Tyrus is killing me. Ha His shooting has been money today. Except that one shot he just took.

Nice job by Tyrus.

What the f*** was that Gordon?

QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 01:54 PM) Would someone PLEASE inform Ozzie that Getz hits lefties as well or better than righties, and that Lilli is not a major league hitter? I sure as hell hope someone does, and soon. Every day Lillibridge starts retards Getz' growth and undermines his growing confidence. I'm convinced that Ozzie doesn't even look at L-R splits.

That pickoff attempt looked really odd, I don't think I've ever seen a catcher try to throw a runner out on ball 4 before. -
