We have gone one trip through the rotation. The only game we have won was started by Neal Cotts. Losing Ugly.

Best at over-managing. He is great at playing the matchups, I don't think that's the only thing that makes you a great manager. I don't think JM ever shows faith in his guys and in turn, the players don't trust Manuel. They are afraid to have one 0-4 tonight for fear of being benched or pinch-hit for the next night.

I was just gonna say. Haven't our good bullpen pitchers got enough rest? I mean we had a chance to win that first one in Anaheim, that rainy night in Detroit, and maybe today if we don't put the absolute worst pitcher in the game every time we are losing.

Manuel is a pretty good whistler too. If the Sox gig doesn't work out, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up as a construction worker.

If Valentin learns to hit this winter, he might be worth a sack of balls and some pine tar.

I'm taking the "I won't live and die by the White Sox" approach. If they lose I try not to care so much and watch Little Leaguers where they actually play like they love the game. When the Sox win I go back to caring.

I think someone asked this the other day but I'm gonna ask again. I'm asking God, why can't we ever have a Sox minor league pitcher that comes up and can contribute immediately? Just once?

Sometimes for fun I put my finger on the TV where I think the pitch to Olivo will go. It always goes there and he always swings and misses it. Hehe I hope Jamie Burke sees some more playing time come September.

We do have alot of home games in September. Maybe I'll just stop watching Sox road games.

I feel like this team is listless. Even when they went on the winning streak, I don't think any of the players knew why they were winning. Now they don't know why they are losing. They just seem to have no idea what type of baseball makes them good or bad. The same dumb mistakes over and over again. How about two nights in a row of Jose trying to go to 3rd on a play and getting thrown out twice. How about Miguel Olivo who seems to be getting worse at the plate (Maybe someone should tell him to SIT on fastballs only). This team has the raw talent but the mental capacity of me when I was 12 yrs. old playing baseball video games. Hell I watch the Little League World Series where they have all the managers mic'ed and I think they know more about baseball than Jerry Manuel and half our players.

That stolen base call was one of the worst calls I've seen by an ump this year.

Olivo definitely needs a brain. Swinging at 3-1 breaking balls in the dirt with the bases loaded in Tampa Bay. Fielding bunts down the line and trying to get men out at third too much. Maggs needs some heart. He is our all star and I think he needs to act like he cares a little bit more. Maggs needs to get in a fight or get ejected or something. Courage? I don't know who needs courage. These guys all go out there and take s*** from alot of the fans about poor performance. If anyone needs a courage boost I say it's Jon Garland. He seems to get rattled when teams get consecutive hits off of him and starts falling behind in the count alot. Courage to throw sinkers over the plate and get double play balls like he was getting earlier this season. Who has the best in all three of these categories? Hard to say it but this year I think Carlos Lee has made huge strides in the brain department. Sure he made a couple of boneheaded plays in the outfield but not nearly as many as before. He has also started more than one late inning rally with a clutch double here or there. He's still probably one of the dumber players on this team but I see progress.

Cleveland is something like 8-3 vs. Minnesota this year. Cleveland is a much tougher competitor than Milwaukee or even Cincinnati lately.

I think its time to get rid of Jose Valentin. You can have a guy like him on a great team but he really kills us sometimes with his streaky performance. He'll have 3 homeruns one night and 4 strikeouts the next.

I think we all thought the same thing when we read about Foulke's innings pitched. I wonder how many innings you have to pitch to blow your arm out on palmballs.

Why? Because I need someone to point my finger at. Lately the bullpen has been sucking might as well fire him. Bah or just fire our bullpen except damaso and gordon.

Our team looks bad because, when we are up in a game like this 4-0 or 5-1, we don't score a few insurance runs in the late innings and put the game out of reach. When our team is down 4-0 or 5-1, we allow the opposition to always score a couple more runs it seems like. Even though the team leading the game is usually not pressing extra hard to score runs.

..the number of right-handed relievers on this team that can pitch worth a damn.

Did we get duped by getting the wrong Scott S. Schoeneweis instead of Shields.
