  1. LOL. Come on Indians, dont you wanna go home?
  2. Gentlemen, I know this is offtopic but if Yankees and Rays end the season with the same record, who wins the division?
  3. I can't believe AJ raised his avg to .270, what a come back indeed.
  4. ChuckGarfien Will Sox lower attendance affect what they can do in off-season? KW: "How much I don't know. Will it? Yes." ChuckGarfien One of Williams biggest priorities: Getting a left-handed power bat that "can do some damage."
  5. Alexei with quite a base running brain fart.
  6. Anyone else having trouble with their MLB.TV feed, mine is acing all slow motion including sound.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 12:49 PM) While you're 100% right his defense isn't going to be there yet...he has a lot of room for rapid improvement. He's a guy who's played 3b...so he's probably going to have good instincts and decent quickness on balls hit hard at him. Agreed, while is no third baseman he should be a decent 1B, same thing happened with Miggy Cabrera. I hope Dayans bat will be similar to the one of Miguel.
  8. Sox lineup: Pierre LF A. Ramirez SS Konerko 1B Pierzynski C Viciedo DH Teahen RF Morel 3B De Aza CF Lillibridge 2B Jackson P
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 1, 2010 -> 04:27 PM) If you put Teahen in RF and Quentin at DH, then where will the actual offensive upgrades come from? Not a lot of spots in the lineup still open. Agreed, what are the chances Viciedo could put similar numbers to Paulie given a full season? If they managed to put Quentin at DH, I hope we are getting a sick bat to fill in RF because this team will need an offense.
  10. Yup, I totally forgot about this the second week, and forgot to submit my vote
  11. Yup, a bit dissapointed with Gemma getting all this plot in SOA, what is she banging the producer or what!
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 30, 2010 -> 05:18 PM) Certain players I truly believe. I still thought it was telling when Konerko's wife said during a broadcast this year that Konerko and Thome still hang out whenever they can. Yup, I get the feeling getting rid of Jim, didn't sit well with Paulie.
  13. IF things don't change: Texas, Tampa Bay - AL Cincinnati, San Francisco - NL Those are the team's I'd like to win the division series, if one of Yanks/Twins and Phillies make it to the series, I'm rooting Phillies.
  14. QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Sep 30, 2010 -> 04:04 PM) They are DEAD. Rays and Yankees clinched when we beat the Red Sox either yesterday or the day before that. fixed
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 30, 2010 -> 04:13 PM) "It could be that I get more to come back here and I still decide to go somewhere else." PK. This is fishy to me, if he indeed gets more money to come back but goes elsewhere, well it means he doesn't really want to be here anymore. Sad. He pretty much said he's unsure but I take he wants to give FA a try?
  16. The Sox are paying Juan Pierre $3M in 2010, and $5M in 2011, as long as he has a touch better season next year I wouldn't conisder this overpaid. I realize he has a huge contract but the Dodgers are paying for most of it.
  17. QUOTE (elgonzo4sox @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 09:43 PM) Alexi and Morel, with the bat and the glove (our new leftside of the infield for 2011?)!!! Carlos Quentin scoffs at this statment, glove
  18. Not trying to say I told you so, but some of the 15 page threads with some posters saying how Ozzie WILL be gone come 2011 were pure comedy gold. It played out exactly how I thought it would, he is under contract and he is back, if Kenny really wants him here for good they will probably work out an extension next season. I am tired of Ozzie's act as much as the next guy, but he still is the only manager that Sox won World Series with in my lifetime, I think this team has a great chance next year and will be better than this years team, pending an offseason catastrophe of course. Can't say it's gonna be hard for me to root for the White Sox next year because Ozzie is the manager, GMAFB.
  19. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 02:17 PM) Mark Kotsay thinks that Mark Kotsay wasn't a bust as DH. ‘‘If you look at the whole year from a Mark Kotsay standpoint, it’s been criticism from the get-go,’’ the lefty hitter said. ‘‘I didn’t get off to a good start, I got buried, I slowly got myself out of that hole when the team was having success in the winning portion of the season. But even in that turnaround, there was always talk that we needed a left-handed bat.’‘ ‘‘Hey, you know what? It’s been the whole season. I think I was able to carry myself in a professional manner and realize, ‘Yeah, my success as a whole, if I evaluate my whole year, it’s not nearly where I wanted it to end.’ But I think I battled, I think I fought the whole season.’‘ http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/wh...T-sox27.article I guess honesty is key but I don't expect him to come out and say "Yes, I sucked."
  20. Morel isn't hitting as good as I'd like for me to be on his bandwagon yet... He was awesome in AAA, hopefully it's just a slow start, like Beckham's..
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 03:22 PM) Teahen is going to be taking his spot as corner utility guy and lefty bat off of the bench next year. Is this official? or assumption?
