  1. I'm pretty sure he's referring to fake Jeff Passan accounts.... But go off, King.
  2. What's the point of posting his 2nd tweet complaining about the Internet?
  3. Lol I had no idea that putting "per FutureSox" and then directly citing the actual source would cause so much hysteria. My thoughts were that putting "Per Mike Rankin" would mean nothing to anyone, considering he doesn't have much a following on Twitter. The worst backlash I am willing to accept is anyone who wants to claim "clickbait" because I knew "per FutureSox" would give it more credibility and make more sense to people than "Per Mike Rankin" in the thread title, even though he was tweeting from his personal account and it FutureSox. Apologies to those at FS who may be annoyed with the irrational hate they have had to read here for no real reason.
  4. I would absolutely not trust this being real at all if it wasn't for A) Who he is and B) his confidence in his tweet. But yeah, shocking that Cole wouldn't at least wait for the winter meetings and a couple other pitchers to sign first.
  5. I can't believe Silicon Valley only has 1 episode left in the series. Not just because it's so great, but because the story line does not feel like it's heading towards some sort of over arching resolution.
  6. 5 yrs/$110M, with a club option for a 6th year at $12M or a $5M buyout. Let's all go home.
  7. If we are going to pick it a bit, I didn't love how they made the AT-ST seem like it was not just 2 guys inside of it controlling it. Made it seem like a sentient robot. And what was with that sticky bomb they put on the inside of the enemy tent waiting like 30 seconds before finally exploding, and seemingly randomly, since it was not ticking any faster as time went on.
  8. Welp, season is over. So fucking annoyed. Ended up as the #3 seed because I lost the last 2 weeks of the season. And then now I just lost the in the 1st RD of the playoffs to the #6 seed. Julio Jones, Evan Engram, Jordan Howard, and now Dalvin Cook...all hurt. Despite all that, I'll end up with the 2nd highest points of the week. 8 teams made the playoffs. Seeds 1-4....all lost. 3 teams who were 6-6 and one team who was 7-5 will advance. The teams who lost were 9-3, and the other 3 teams were 8-4. Fucking fantasy football, man. Still never won.
  9. Hamels would be just fine as our 2nd best SP addition this off-season. If he's our best pick up, that is putting a ton of pressure on Kopech and Cease for 2019.
  10. I don't believe in trading for or signing any high end RP until the rest of the team is ready and the team is competitive. I would love to have Hader, but I would rather wait a year and see how this team is doing before committing to that. RP is the most volatile position on a team, so if I am adding one, I am assuming that player could become worthless any season now, and there is no reason IMO to acquire someone like him now and risk that 2020 is that season, while the team isn't even in a position for a deep post-season run.
  11. Knives Out was really cool. And a lot of good humor to get through the slower parts.
  12. Nope. But his arm was a helluva lot better than Scotty Pods. Why don't the Cubs hide Schwarber in RF and put their clearly better defender, Heyward, in LF? This is baseball 101, so I assume you're just trolling right now?
  13. RF is not where you hide a bad outfielder. That would be LF, which is where Eloy already plays. This isn't slow-pitch softball.
  14. You think he would be solid in RF, but would rather move Eloy, who is a bad defender, to RF, where defense is more important, and move the clearly better defender to the less demanding LF? ?????
  15. I've had Marte in my off-season plan for a couple weeks now, but I'm definitely not the only one who had the same thought today when the Marte quote came off. Sox Twitter seems to be on board for Marte in RF.
  16. Imagine the Starlin Marte ideas should start swelling here soon now that he has essentially demanded a trade to a contender, and the Sox *might* fit that category if he is paying attention.
  17. Why does him saying he hasn't heard anything about Bundy, Grandal, or Abreu mean he didn't get anything about Wheeler? Or am I mixing these two guys up? I know the 2nd guy is the one who said that Wheeler was in Chicago yesterday.
  18. Yea, I just saw the same tweet. I guess it was for a prior engagement. Womp womp.
  19. I haven't read this entire thread yet, but I was tipped off this morning that Ricky came in to Chicago today. I didn't bother posting because I didn't know if it was just some prior engagement. If Wheeler really is in Chicago today (haven't confirmed), then there is a lot of smoke.
  20. I don't think that it was your intention, but even singling out a few insiders and leaving the rest to be assumed in the "random pop ups with claims" line is effectively also blanket hating on the insiders you didn't specifically name. Not saying you need to comprehensive list, but it's implying those 3 named are the only 3 to trust with information.
