Just started my franchise. Had to create and add James Beard to the Sox org. And, per usual, I had to tweak a lot of the Sox player's atributes. It seems they are always so far off when it comes to speed and defense. I think Moncada had like a 64 speed or something.

They already released a version 1.5 that apparently fixes the issues.

RidinRosters, basically the official OSFM rosters just came out an hour ago. That's what you'll want to use before you start your franchise.

I bought my first house last April with a 5.25% rate. Should I be refinancing right now? What are the downsides? Upfront costs? We only planning on staying in this house for another 3-4 years before we likely build a home. Do they freeze our credit again and run credit checks like they did when we first bought the house? We are getting married in September and my fiance just got laid off her job 3 weeks ago. It's hard to google this stuff without knowing if it's a website/person just trying to get my business.

Not a very good point at all. In 2019 he hit in the 1-4 spots in the line-up 104 games, the most coming in the #2 hole with 41 starts. He started only 7 games in the bottom third of a National League lineup. In 2018 he started in 111 games, and spent 46 of those starts in the #3 and #4 spots. He spent 22 in the bottom third of a National League lineup. The most starts in his career have come in the 4th and 5th spots in a lineup. I'm not sure why you would think his elite on-base skills are due to being pitched around to get to a pitcher or worst hitter in an NL lineup.

This would never happen, but I would make the line-up..... 1) Grandal - S 2) Robert - R 3) Moncada - S 4) Abreu - R 5) Eloy - R 6) Edwin - R 7) Anderson -R 8.) Mazara - L 9) Mendick/Madrigal - R I like Robert leading off because of his speed and he lead off most of 2019, but his lack of walks and likelihood of a solo shots either leading off the game or hitting in front of Mendick/Leury for a chunk of the year make me want him to hit 2nd, behind Grandal who is an on-base machine, but if Grandal doesn't get on, Robert still has the chance to use those legs to stretch out extra bases or swipe some bags in front of Moncada with 1 out.

I live in NW Indiana and only now are Cubs stuff starting to come out. This entire winter it was about 80/20 in favor of Sox gear that I've seen worn in public. And usually a head nod to each other and a smile when noticed.

I like Puig the player, but the person definitely makes me nervous. My guess is Abreu will be tasked with keeping him in line. Whatever it signs for, it better be an amount that they are ok with eating if he turns out to be trouble again.

One of the few national baseball podcasts I listened to recently said they don't really believe Vaughn will get to all of his power in game, but they asked, would you not still take a guy who could hit .315+ every year with 25 HR, and an OBP around .400? Like Balta said, that's basically Freddie Freeman or Justin Turner. That will definitely work out.

The Show always puts out an updated Opening Day roster on actual MLB Opening Day.

Nah, the community will stay make them to provide edits. I think on the stream they said they did around 100 facial scans of players. That leaves almost 1400 players that didn't get scanned in, so their faces may not look that great. The community will do things like that. Also, it looks like single-A players are randomly generated. I noticed there was no James Beard, who is not much of a prospect in real life, but is it massive weapon in a video game franchise. He will be the first and maybe only Sox prospect that I will have to create or download from the vault. Maybe Dalquist and Thompson too.

We are getting a Cotralian (Cocker spaniel + Australian shepherd) in a couple of weeks. I've raised puppies before, but always while living at my parents, and while I had way more free time than I do now. It's overwhelming trying to think of all the things I need to get. The one I am curious about is stain remover. Any particular one you guys use? Obviously we are going to have quite a few accidents with our pup. Hopefully she keeps it off the carpet.

Any idea how they got around doing this without players being in the MLBPA? That was always the excuse for literally the last 15 years. that they weren't allowed to. Many minor leaguers have spoken out on Twitter about this asking where their cut is for SCEA using their likeness in the game....

I wanted P David Peterson. He has been just ok with the Mets so far. Threw 116 innings in AA last year.
