  1. Pitt made a great decision to play their convicts today. These trio of criminals have been the difference in this game so far.... http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/...charged-assault
  2. And there it is. The turnover that was bound to happen. f***ing Everett "Turnover" Golson.
  3. There is another flyball to the endzone. Can't get away with that every time, sooner or later SOMEONE on ONE OF THE TEAMS is going to catch that.
  4. I can't stand Golson, but plays like that long run are nice to see every once and a while. His knack for turnovers scare the hell out of me though.
  5. MLBTR is reporting that Brandon McCarthy has drawn immediate interest from the White Sox.
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Nov 3, 2012 -> 06:31 PM) I grow tired of officials helping ND EVERY game at home in the 4th quarter that they are behind...............That was not pass int!
  7. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 3, 2012 -> 06:28 PM) ND bailed out again? How many calls does a team need? It's a conspiracy, maaaaaaaan.
  8. Apparently the new playcalling for the 4th quarter is "Hey, let's throw some lob balls up in the endzone and hope someone catches it." They have thrown 3-4 or 4 deep balls in the endzone hoping for a miracle. Luckily they got a PI call and TJ Jones just scored a TD. But nothing can be easy in this game, as Kyle Brindza SHANKS the EXTRA POINT. You've got to be kidding me. If the Irish lose because they can't convert the 2 pt conversation, I'm going to be livid. 20-12 Pitt.
  9. WTF is going on in South Bend? How is this the same team that shutdown Oklahoma last week?
  10. I keep hearing people on other sites say ND plays a cupcake schedule, and they are way overrated because they play all these easy teams. But then I found this link.... http://www.teamrankings.com/college-footba...chedule-by-team ^Is that completely inaccurate? It says ND has played the 6th hardest schedule in the nation. I'm not a big NCAAFB guy, I don't follow too many teams outside of ND, so are these rankings completely off?
  11. AC3 is awesome. I played for probably 5 hours today, and I am still not even an assassin. I am having way too much fun running through tree-tops and killing deer with my tomahawk. Really looking forward to slaying my first bear.
  12. #Cubs source says Marmol-for-Haren trade "not happening"
  13. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 07:57 PM) I look at this the complete opposite away, this trade makes 0 sense for LAA imo Actually, now that I think about it, I forgot the Angels had an OPTION for Haren at $15M, but a buyout at like....$3M? So really, they just added $6M in payroll, and got a terrible reliever (unless someone can control his walk issue).
  14. I don't understand this. Why would the Cubs want to add payroll, and get older at the same time? They aren't competing while Haren is under contract (2013). If they just wanted to dump Marmol, they should have cut payroll too. UNLESS this is all just to move Haren elsewhere either this offseason or in July. He has tons of success in the NL, so maybe they want to boost his stock, and trade him midseason?
  15. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 06:35 PM) Almost caught up with Breaking Bad. Season 4 might be the some of the best television ever made. It's just a great blend of tension and humor. Mike is also one the best tv characters I've seen. The guy's hilarious, despite being a stone cold killer. Yep, I think S4 of Breaking Bad is the best television I've ever seen. Off the top of my head, I think the best seasons of any TV I have seen would go.... Breaking Bad S4 Breaking Bad S3 Dexter S4 Homeland S1
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 01:14 PM) Winter Classic: canceled f***ing s***. I was hoping they'd go for a Winter Classic Opening Day type stunt to salvage the year, but with no Winter Classic, I lost hope for this season. What a calamity.

  18. What is this "qualifying offer" stuff. Why have I never heard of this before?
  19. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 10:42 AM) In the latest ESPN INSIDER David Wright's future was being discussed, I believe it was Jim Bowden, who writes he should be able to sign an extension with the Mets, however if it didn't happen, he speculates 5 trade scenarios. Would anyone with ESPN insider access care to give us a quick summary? I'm interested if the White Sox were one of the 5 teams he mentioned. 1) Red Sox 2) Angels 3) DBacks 4) Royals 5) Rangers
  20. My Sox Free Agent wishlist........ Grienke McCarthy Soria Napoli If Grienke or McCarthy are signed, Floyd gets traded for a 3B. And I realize we have hardly any money to spend (or so we have been told), but if Hahn decides to go....wait for it...wait for it....ALL IN, then those are who I would like to see the Sox pursue.
  21. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 12:58 PM) Pretty much this, also, your processor (and bios) has to support 64 bit systems in the first place. With the necessary upgrades you'd probably need, the previous poster is right, you'd probably be able to buy a newer machine with all of these things for less than the upgrades would cost. My recommendation would be to just live with what you have for now, so doing stuff will take a bit longer than on another system, it won't kill you. Save up for a fully upgraded machine instead of wasting money upgrading this one. Yeah, I'll probably just deal with it until I graduate, then maybe get a new laptop then when I get a real job or something.
  22. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 01:04 PM) step one should have been to get off of Vista 3 years ago. I actually was eligible for a free upgrade when I bought my laptop, but I was too lazy to go through the process, and it expired at the end of the year. Oh well.
  23. So first I need to upgrade to a 64-bit Windows 7 (I run Vista right now), and THEN I need to go buy 8 GB of RAM? God damnit, I'm going to use up all my Xmas funds to do all that. Ha.
  24. The League bounced back from an awful episode last week. Rafi continues to steal the show. That pool scene was great. My favorite line may have been from Ruxin.... "Hey Rafi, whose this future missing person?"
  25. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 10:37 AM) Yes, memory makes a huge difference in video editing to a point. If you currently only have 4 gigs, doubling it will make video editing much faster/smoother. You have to remember that a large chunk of your current memory is already being used by the OS and other minor programs you may have running in the background. Having more than about 3 gigs also requires a 64 bit operating system, as part of that 4 gig barrier is taken up by gfx memory, too. For others above, older memory tends to cost much more than newer memory, as it's not made in large quantities, if at all anymore. For example, modern 1333mhz+ memory will be way cheaper than older 600mhz memory chips. I have 4 GB and a 32-bit operating system. So would it not be good to attach 8GB to a 32-bit system?
