  1. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Oct 30, 2012 -> 01:48 AM) Am I the only one who thinks Tyler is going to get exposed BIG time given regular playing time? It wouldn't surprise anyone. I think in the end, he will be 20-25 HR hitting catcher with a .230-.240 average next year, 150+ Ks and .325 OBP.
  2. Can we get a Trade Winds section open or something?
  3. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 30, 2012 -> 01:22 AM) About to pop Assassin's Creed III in the PS3. This should be awesome. I preordered it yesterday, but probably won't pop that b**** open until Thursday or Friday. I rented Revelations today, so I need to beat that one first. I'm about 50% done, I would surmise. Too much schoolwork and projects to get done by Wednesday and Thursday, which is partially why I am still up at 3 am working on a video project as I type.
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 04:50 PM) That was to get rid of somebody they didn't want. Why do the Marlins not want Buehrle? If they think he's too expensive, then they probably shouldn't be willing to eat some of his contract. Huh? They'd be getting rid of Buehrle for the exact same reasons they got rid of Heath Bell.
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 04:42 PM) The Marlins never send money to anyone else. I assume you are being sarcastic, considering they just sent $8M to Arizona a week ago.
  6. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 12:39 PM) Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin Peavy and Pierzynski finalists at their respective positions for 2012 Rawlings Gold Gloves to be announced Tuesday. No Beckham or Ramirez Peavy? Ehh. AJ? Huh? Beckham and Alexei definitely should have been the only ones in contention here. But then again, Gold Gloves are the worst award given out. I hope Jeter has enough room to add yet another undeserved award.
  7. Oh, and while I'm here, when I ignore a member, it blocks his ability to read my posts too right? I've never done it before, but I'm doing it now.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 11:57 AM) please waste some time and explain what you are saying. What i am getting from this(and it seems like not only me) is that you are salty because you think the out of bounds ruling is being interpreted incorrectly or too tight. It's just amazing to me that so many took my dislike for the specifics of the rule as "THEY BLEW THAT CALL!! HE WASN'T OUT OF BOUNDS!!!". I already said they made the right call, I am just disappointed in what the rule actually is. But like I said, forget it, move on, I can't win here. If it happened against some other team, maybe.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 11:26 AM) Prediction: Greinke will be a disaster for whoever signs him. I think it might just be Greinke will be a disaster DEPENDING on who he signs with. It's actually pretty interesting that in order of his best years, he was the best in KC, solid in Milwaukee, and decent in LA, and each of those coincide with team popularity/exposure. As he moved up through bigger market teams, he got worse. LA was a pretty small sample size, though.
  10. How did I miss Zach Grienke becoming a FA this offseason? Man, I'd love to sign him, but he's going to get a pretty penny. At least we've got his fear of large crowds working for us there. Sox may be in Chicago, but they are represented like they are in Great Falls, Montana.
  11. Ahh jesus, nevermind. Clearly my point is not being understood, and I don't feel like wasting my time any further. Move along.
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 09:44 AM) Im disappointed Isaac is in jail too, but he will get out on a technicality soon. No doubt. I really didnt like the talk him and Isaac had at the prison. Mostly because ALL CONVERSATIONS AT A PRISON ARE RECORDED. I've always wondered that. I see in a lot of TV shows or movies people will freely talk about crime, and it never seemed smart. Maybe none of those conversations can be used against you in a court of law? I don't know.
  13. Dexter was good. Although I don't like Issac being in jail. Takes away a wildcard....for now. Homeland was really great. That 15-minute scene was incredible. Awesome acting from that duo. Saw that Dana/Veep kid thing coming from a mile away, as that symmetry makes me giggle. Boardwalk was decent, but not that exciting. Jillian's storyline with Indiana boy was good though. I had no idea where she was going with that, I just thought she was going to keep him around to fill Jimmy's void. But are they really that bad at identifying people 90 years ago that they can't tell he is a different person? I mean, it's not like she disfigured him or had him rot for a few weeks. Anyone should be able to tell that's not Jimmy.
  14. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 09:29 PM) Huh? He was out of bounds, its pretty cut and dry. Did anyone say he wasn't?
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 08:21 PM) Yeah, out of bounds shouldn't count if its a great play I'm saying I hate how something like that is considered out of bounds in football. Like earlier when the Cowboys CB picked off the ball, but was ruled down because he brushed up against the WR's shoe when he was getting up. Really? The WR had no idea where the ball was, he was not trying to get the CB down, the CB just happen to hit his foot when he was getting up. That's a damn dumb rule.
  16. As much as I clearly hate Dez Bryant, I can't fault him for that. The outside of his glove touching the boundary line negates an incredible play? That's such bulls***. Giants fans better not take pride in this victory. I'm not saying it was the wrong call, but it's ridiculous that something so insignificant can lose you a game. EDIT: I expected the final play of the game to be a catch by Austin where his shoelace touched the white line, and they rule it no catch and game over.
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 05:53 PM) My first thought when I saw it floating to him was how you'd react if it went right thru him incomplete. My initial thought when I saw Tony rearing up for a huge throw was "Oh s***, how can this turn out badly?", and then they showed Dez Bryant all alone turning around to catch it, and then I thought "Oh, that's how."
  18. I figured Dez Bryant had about a 10% chance of catching that wide open bomb Romo just threw him. It looked to much like a punt return catch for me to have confidence in him making that reception. But I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. Tony needs to just go back in forth between Witten and Austin, and go down by only 9 going in to halftime.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 05:11 PM) I'm sure they could easily find a taker for him. Good then they should do it, like, yesterday. I'm so sick of him.
  20. Dez Bryant is the biggest piece of s***. Someone, please, get this f*** off this team.
  21. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 12:50 PM) Just go get an Windows 8 laptop then. I mean, if I wanted to do that, I'd just upgrade my current laptop to Windows 8 for much cheaper.
  22. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 27, 2012 -> 03:28 AM) That video makes him quite endearing. I like his story, being a Brazilian baseball player. I hope he makes it. Yep, same here. If he was just your average American born or central American born player, I wouldn't care as much, but since he's from Brazil, I think that's pretty damn cool and I pay much closer attention. Hope he makes it. Let's see if he impressive in the spring.
  23. QUOTE (kev211 @ Oct 27, 2012 -> 09:46 PM) I want one of those surface tablets. They look awesome. Yeah, if I was ever to get a tablet, it would probably be that one. Now only is that an awesome design, it uses that sleak Zune HD interface, which is the best music interface I've ever seen.
  24. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 26, 2012 -> 04:03 PM) I actually kind of agree. The whole paintball thing was pretty lame. Yep. The sushi thing was okay, but the paintball thing sucked. the best storyline was Kevin trying to bang Jenny 5 times.
