  1. What about Padres RHP Luke Gregerson? Local boy who is a real solid reliever, albeit he has pitched in Petco park. Arb eligible and under team control until 2015.
  2. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 06:11 PM) http://joecrede.ytmnd.com/ This is my vote as well. Was that the game where he hit a HR in the 9th to tie it, and a HR in the 10th to win it? If so, I was at that game, and it's my earliest memory at a game (despite having gone to plenty before that).
  3. QUOTE (Special K @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 11:40 PM) Why does heyman say Gavin is out? Is he that out of the loop? http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/jon-heym...els-dodgers-etc May have written it a few days ago before it went to editing. I know it's a completely different scenario, but I often wrote sports columns for my HS newspaper that were completely irrelevant after it went through the whole process.
  4. QUOTE (northside sawx @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 07:52 PM) Thats what I'm sayin! Honestly, I'd guess shes one of the players girlfriends. I hope she is not with one of the goons on either side of her, cause if she is I may just make the 1 1/2 hour ride up to Miller park and grab tickets for a dollar or two... Pics or it didn't happen.
  5. Walker added another double before he was done. 3/5, 2 2B, 2 SB. Keep swinging it, kid.
  6. Walker is 2/3 with a 2B, 2 SB. Batting .313 with 8 SB to 0 CS in 9 games in High-A. This kid is putting together a really great season. Oh, and Erik Johnson is dominating. 6 scoreless innings so far, 3 H, 1 BB, 7 K
  7. Sox are facing future Cub Allen Webster right now. Webster having control issues.
  8. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 04:43 PM) I could see the Sox making a move for Beckett. It's what I suggested yesterday. Beckett and $15-20M or less cash and we flip them Matt Thornton as the centerpiece or something.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 06:00 AM) NBC, NBC Sports, I think also Universal HD but not sure about that one. Also if you have Comcast, they are apparently broadcasting "all" of the olympic events, live. I assume for most of those it means just a couple stationary cameras, but it seems like you can watch games non stop for a the entirety of this thing.
  10. I wouldn't mind trading De Aza. I'm still not sold on him, and I don't think JorDanks has looked that bad at all in his 4 at-bats a week.
  11. You telling me your twitter is back up and running?
  12. QUOTE (northside sawx @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 11:55 AM) Obviously seeing as neither of them are 22 yet. But they have plenty of potential, that is for sure I'm just saying I wouldn't call them viable options until they are a phone call away from being a major leaguer.
  13. Maybe he meant back in 4 years to talk to Jerry about another contract or something, maybe just 1 year or 1 week deal so he can retire as a White Sox player.
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 08:55 PM) #3 starters aren't worth prospects like Randall Delgado. Right. But he said "anything", which means he thinks Ryan "f***ing" Dempster is a worthless player.
  15. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 08:32 AM) Next time the Sox need a reliever from the minors, I'm starting to think we may see Brandon Kloess. I hope it's Veal first.
  16. QUOTE (northside sawx @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 09:51 PM) DeMichelle continuing to beast at Kanny, between him and Sanchez we have options should Gordon be traded/benched. Mitchell with a 2b for CHA, too. Except those dudes aren't even close to the majors yet.
  17. Solid start for Axelrod. Allowed 3 BB, but only 1 H and 1 ER to 6 K.
  18. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 07:12 PM) I would hate to be a fan of the team that is competing for a playoff spot, so the GM obliges Theo & Friends and gives anything of worth up for Ryan f***ing Dempster. How do you not think Ryan Dempster is a very solid starter? He's a #3 type guy who is pitching like an ace this year.
  19. QUOTE (Lemon_44 @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 06:36 PM) I think the offer may be along the lines of Floyd, Mitchell, and Jones/Reed. I don't know if that could get it done though. The Brewers could pick up Floyd's option, get a legit prospect in Mitchell, and receive some much needed bullpen help. I don't know if Jones can develop into a closer but he's probably already as good as Axford and K rod are right now. I would not do that trade.
  20. Beckham's swing makes it look like he carries a heavy bat. Looks like he struggles to get the bat around.
  21. Outfielders from both teams are having big problems today. I wonder what it is out there.
  22. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 02:12 PM) And this is why you don't subscribe to ESPN Insider. It was free with my ESPN Magazine subscription, which was $4 a year. Love Woot.com!
