  1. The rain is beating us right now. Everyone is trying to hurry up and hit a home run to tie it. Indians could put their worst relievers in and get outs with the way our players are pressing. Sucks to have to play against the rain, when the Indians have the weather on their side now.
  2. Well, Molina is getting shelled.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 7, 2012 -> 04:27 PM) Nope, sorry. You are not one of them. It takes alot of super annoying posts to get me to ignore you, I had ignored only one user my entire time on here until a few days ago. Then I shall amp up the annoying-ness! I'll take notes from my buddy Gregory.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 7, 2012 -> 03:51 PM) Yes, block the user, I have 2 pretty notorious posters on block. Ooooh, indulge us! (Would be kind of funny if he can't see this because he blocks me already, ha)
  5. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 7, 2012 -> 03:30 PM) Score was not 8-6 today? Scored 5 last Thursday and lost, 4 on Friday lost.............pattern to me. Lol. Obviously this is going to take a while to explain, so I'll just stop here and pretend to agree with you..... Yeah, yeah, Sox lose 6 to 8 and 9 to 11 all the time. Totally agree, we score so many runs but our pitching sucks. Agreed!
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 7, 2012 -> 03:24 PM) When they score 9 give up 11............score 6 give up 8...................pattern well established. Ok, that's happened 0 times this season, so where is your "pattern"??
  7. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ May 7, 2012 -> 03:22 PM) can we block peoples comments on here?? greg, do you every say a positive thing about this team?? Why cant Stultz win the next game, you see what Quintana just did as an unknown. Greg is without a doubt the most annoying poster on here to me. It's as if he lives in a movie. Everything is so dramatic and superlative. Hyperbole out of the ass and dramatic about everything.
  8. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 7, 2012 -> 03:21 PM) Typical 6 runs scored and still lose. Sox score just enough to lose a close game. Need a split tonight. I believe this is only like the 2nd or 3rd time this season where the Sox have scored more than 4 runs, and lost the game...... EDIT: Yeah, just looked it up. Only the second time. So no, not "typical", at least not this season.
  9. Oh my god, Lillibridge is so f***ing terrible right now! Give me Eduardo Escobar even! f***ing s***.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 7, 2012 -> 03:18 PM) I wish I could be as optimistic as you. I just see it as a s***ty loss with the sweep coming tonight on a bad road trip, our first bad road trip of the year following a disastrous homestand. It's hard for you to be optimistic when you are being so overly negative. The sky isn't falling.
  11. If De Aza gets on, it's up to Lillibridge. UGH. I'd rather Flowers hit for Lilli if it happens.
  12. QUOTE (Jake @ May 7, 2012 -> 03:16 PM) Damn, he put a great swing on that. Yeah, he really did "just miss that one", dad gummit.
  13. Even if we don't pull this one out, it's nice to see us only have to burn through 1 reliever (who looked awesome) while the Indians have used 2 of them, with Perez warming in the pen.
  14. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ May 7, 2012 -> 02:28 PM) I see your from NW IN where do you play at? I played last year but I lost all my contacts on the team and would really like to get back on a team. Nice back to back innings for Quintana, if Phil continues to struggle and they pull the plug on him as a starter I assume itd be him and Stultz in line to take over the spot right?? I run a team at Rohrman park in Schererville, and then I occasionally play for a co-ed team in Merrillville at Hidden Lake.
  15. QUOTE (Baron @ May 7, 2012 -> 02:21 PM) The Tornado siren actually went off while I was taking a final. A bunch of people in class bolted. Apparently there was no tornado which was good. So you cheated off their test, right?
  16. QUOTE (Baron @ May 7, 2012 -> 02:18 PM) Its raining cats and dogs outside right now Yeah, tell me about it. It makes it awfully hard to schedule softball practices when it rains non-stop for 24 hours+!
  17. Ah Gordon, the dreaded 93 mph+ fastball. I hope he solves it one of these days.
  18. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ May 7, 2012 -> 12:00 AM) Why did Hamels hit Harper? Rookie hazing type thing? Apparently Hamels admitted he did it on purpose too.
  19. QUOTE (JPN366 @ May 6, 2012 -> 11:13 PM) Wilkins has sat for three straight games, and from what I've seen, he needs work. His eye is great, his power seems good, he just needs better contact skills. He essentially is working with an Adam Dunn tool set.
  20. Heidi with a solid start.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 5, 2012 -> 10:47 PM) Garza will miss tomorrow's start with Flu, Wood called up. Great....I get to see Travis Wood tomorrow. Ugh. Maybe Kemp will hit 5 HR, that'd be awesome.
  22. Also, anyone ever wonder why in every new edition of The Show, they always have Konerko wearing sunglasses? I never understood that. I did a google image search, and only found 1 picture where he was wearing sunglasses. And even if he does occasionally wear them, I doubt he would ever wear them when he bats.
  23. So I am playing The Show right now. I notice the information banner dropped down and said "Happy Cinco De Mayo from MLB: The Show!". I thought it was pretty cool that it knew it was Cinco De Mayo today.....then I realized I just happen to be playing against the Tigers, in Detroit, and it is actually 5/5 in my game. Haha. I've never been one to try and mirror my season w/ real life, but I just happen to play on the same day. The difference is that Sale is STARTING this game in my franchise. Carrying his mid 1 ERA. He is sooo good in this game.
  24. QUOTE (knightni @ May 5, 2012 -> 02:22 PM) I thought that he was in Hunger Games. That's what I was originally thinking, given the attire, but I didn't recognize that person from the movie, especially being in a big enough role to be noticed.
