  1. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 9, 2011 -> 07:42 PM) Nope, and not even that close. The answer is apparently nope, but #28 is pretty damn close.
  2. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 10, 2011 -> 03:35 AM) It could not be clearer that Walt poisoned the kid. This was my point about having to be punched in the face with something. You just caught a right hook, and you don't know it somehow. Remember when he played spin-the-bottle and the gun pointed at at him twice, then pointed at THE EXACT PLANT THAT HAPPENS TO SHARE THE NAME OF THE POISON THAT ALMOST KILLED THE KID? The one that Jesse said is commonly ingested by children, and then Walt had a s***-eating grin on his face about? God damn it. Oh my bad. I guess I forgot how black and white this show is and how everything is exactly how it appears. /sarcasm
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 10, 2011 -> 10:12 AM) I hated it. Yeah, that was hokey and not Breaking Bad's style. Didn't care for that at all.
  4. Yeah, I called a bell-activated wheel chair suicide as well. Didn't really like how Gus able to somehow walk out of the room and be completely composed. That was too much IMO. Also, I think Mike or the black guy planted the Lilly of the Valley berries, and then put it in Walt's backyard. I can't see Walt poisoning a child.
  5. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Oct 9, 2011 -> 03:10 PM) I don't see that happening because he can be a free agent after the 2012 season. I thought he was under team control until the end of the 2013 season.
  6. QUOTE (MAX @ Oct 9, 2011 -> 02:47 PM) About the same thing as we got for javy. Maybe, I would hope we get more. Flowers, Lillibridge, and Gilmore isn't exactly a haul.
  7. So it ND back in to the rankings this week? 4-2 record. Wins over #23 Michigan State, Pitt, Purdue, Air Force. 2 losses came to South Florida and #12 Michigan.
  8. I hope to expect 1 top prospect (BA top 50), 1 good prospect, and 1 "project" prospect.
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 9, 2011 -> 12:37 AM) Shameless is an interesting little show. Is that random, or did it just start up again? Because I thought it's cycle was after Dexter. And yes, I love Shameless.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 7, 2011 -> 12:51 PM) Westboro Baptist Church announces they will protest Jobs's funeral. Sent announcement out using Twitter for iPhone. Why? Those people are ridiculous.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 7, 2011 -> 10:50 AM) Greg, Marty Turco was last year's #1 to start the season and quickly usurped by Corey Crawford. He now works for NHL Network! I never had much faith in Crawford, but he won me over with steady play. Goaltending remains a question mark simply because no one anywhere expected Crawford to be this productive between the pipes, but the Blackhawks look much better on that front than they have since the days of Eddie Belfour. Our backup, to start the season at least, is Ray Emery. Emery took over for Jonas Hiller who had vertigo issues last year in Anaheim, and was simply brilliant down the stretch (.928 save percentage), playing 10 games for the Ducks to finish out the year. The Hawks chose him over Salak simply because he had a 1-way contract, while Salak can use the seasoning and get every-day work in Rockford with the IceHogs without having to clear waivers. Speaking of Salak, he's the organization's first legit goaltending prospect, and was acquired in possibly my favorite trade the Hawks have ever made... sending of Jack Skille and two dudes I don't care about and receiving Michael Frolik and Salak. Hopefully he's as good as advertised, and he sure looked awesome in the preseason. #1 - Corey Crawford #2 - Ray Emery #3 - Alexander Salak This is the most excited I've been about goaltending in Chicago in a very, very long time. LOOOOOVE me some Frolik. DEXTER!!!!
  12. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Oct 7, 2011 -> 02:15 PM) There is a Winsor but it's an elementary school. Loves Park and Machesney Park are both part of the Harlem School district. All the kids end up at the same Jr. High and High school. Yep, that's it! They went to Windsor elem., and Harlem HS.
  13. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Oct 7, 2011 -> 11:11 AM) Actually I did. Loves Park elementary too. I have no idea how I missed this game. Heh, I have family that lives there. They went to.....Windsor HS? They live in either Loves Park or Machesney Park.
  14. QUOTE (Stocking @ Oct 7, 2011 -> 01:51 AM) Alert, NHL Gamecenter Live on ps3 is f*cking tits. $160 is reasonable. Yeah, but there are blackout restrictions, I'm sure.
  15. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 07:03 PM) No offense to all the haters, but you probably wouldn't HAVE had a zune if not for the ipod. Windows is better because apples OSXs pushed it so hard. And, from what it sounds like, Mango will be a hell of a product, but it will be great because microsoft now values design more than they ever did in the 90s power years. If I didn't have a Zune right now, I'd have some form of Creative Zen.
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 11:33 AM) The League premiers tonight. Yes! Yes! Yes! Can't wait to see Dirty Randy played by Seth Rogen.
  17. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 10:15 AM) Mouse-check Windows-Check Yup, he did. On a laptop.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 12:12 AM) The thing I don't like is that all these people are making it look like Steve Jobs did EVERYTHING associated with Apple. Sure, embrace the guy, but come on. Some guy said he wouldn't be able to listen to the music right now if it wasn't for Jobs. REALLY? Yeah, tell me about it. Girls on Facebook saying "Thank you Steve Jobs! If it wasn't for you inventing the iPod, we would still be listening to CD players!". Oh really? Because I am pretty sure Mp3 players were around well before Apple starting making them. I think she meant "Thanks for making this shiny device that I can buy as a status symbol and allowing me to purchase things purely based on brand name and nothing else. Shopping made easy!" He did a lot, but he didn't do everything, and he certainly didn't do it alone. And him dying isn't going to cease the advancement of technology, I assure you.
  19. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 09:23 PM) Ill just pretend thats sarcasm, because even as someone who uses windows its undeniable that they tried to emulate the Apple operating system. Unless you never used a computer that ran with ms dos. What? It was 100% true. I was doing both those things, and he influenced my life so much so that I have never, and will never own an Apple product. Nothing wrong with that.
  20. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 10:04 PM) I can remember as a kid trying to use ms dos and having to guess at where things were in the directories. And lets be honest, Oregon Trail was a great game. We used to play that at school in kindergarten. God that was awesome.
  21. I'll never forget where I was when I heard Steve Jobs died. I was sitting on my Windows computer listening to my Zune HD. He influenced my life in so many ways.
  22. Brandon Saad. 18 years old. Drafted in June 2011. Makes the Blackhawks roster in his first pre-season. Is assigned to the 1st line with Toews and Sharp. Holy s***, this kid is really good at life.
