  1. QUOTE (knightni @ May 31, 2011 -> 04:02 AM) They're there. Just change the settings to show ALL instead of Last 90 days. Ah, ok thanks.
  2. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/news/ar...rtnerId=rss_cws Apparently he learned a screwball in the offseason, and that has been a factor in his dominance. He also credited Phegley's gamecalling by saying that being in AA has been great because he hasn't had to shake off Phegley in either of his two starts yet. How many MLB players even throw a screwball? Seems like a very rare pitch, I'm excited to see Santiago progress this season and maybe get a chance to see him next spring training.
  3. Yeah, Pierre's BABIP has to be huge right now. He is not smashing the ball all over the field. He is not getting extra base hits. He is just getting lucky with bloops.
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:16 PM) Is there a way to update rosters on PS3 for NHL 10 or MLB 10 The Show??? For The Show, go to SportsConnect Online (on the game, of course), and then go to the ROSTER VAULT. In there, you will be able to find an Operation Sports roster. Might be labled "OS ROSTER" or "OS FULL ROSTER". It will have a TON of downloads, I'm sure. Download that. It will have every single minor league player created, and have current rosters up until at least like May 1st.
  5. No one who doesn't have "Pierre" or "Vizquel" on the back of his jersey should ever be bunting on this team. They are the only ones who may actually lay down a good bunt, and it could actually result in a basehit with good enough placement. Everyone else has the ability to drive the ball in to the gaps.
  6. I like this. I like this a lot. Very simple, and I easy to read. Maybe my favorite one yet (Really liked the Paulie one too. Didn't care for the April version).
  7. Man, Santiago and Burnside were filthy today. I wonder if Santiago may turn out to be something good for us. Honestly never even heard of the guy before about a month ago.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 30, 2011 -> 04:48 PM) Marquez is going to be the long man out of the pen I am guessing. Oh yeah, I was certainly not suggesting a 7-man rotation with Marquez in it. lol. I just thought it was weird considering there has been talk about us trimming the rotation down to 5, thus we would already have a starter in the bullpen. Now we will have 2.
  9. These are the changes we need! Now we have....8 starting pitches on the roster? EDIT: Nevermind, Harrell went down. Still 7 starters.
  10. QUOTE (zenryan @ May 30, 2011 -> 12:23 AM) Anyone else watch Sports Show With Norm Macdonald? It's just like his Weekend Updates segment from SNL. First time I've seen it and I am laughing a lot. I've always been a huge Norm fan. It's pretty hit or miss for me, but I hope it stays on.
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 29, 2011 -> 11:12 PM) Do you want the pre-discussion thread or the actual day 1 draft thread? I'll assume the latter. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=77853 Ok, where did you find this though?
  12. Where do all the old non-game threads go? I am looking in particular for the old 2010 draft discussion thread. Are these just deleted? Hidden? Moved somewhere else?
  13. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 29, 2011 -> 04:32 PM) Can't stand Boston, period.
  14. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ May 29, 2011 -> 06:38 AM) You're looking at the wrong rows. 5 BB/16 SO in April, 12 BB/11 SO in May. Lol, you are right, I'm an idiot. I was looking at May and Pre-All star. lol.
  15. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 28, 2011 -> 08:14 PM) Nah, Pierre still sucks. He said going in. Pierre wasn't terrible last year.
  16. Yowza! @SI_JonHeyman Jon Heyman Gerrit cole of ucla hit 102 mph on gun vs. ASU last nite. Could this clinch No. 1 pick?
  17. QUOTE (knightni @ May 28, 2011 -> 08:38 PM) So... Brent Lillibridge's bio says he's 5'11". 5'11? Pounds maybe! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8JaIEXsQTo#t=56s
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:02 PM) But they won. lol. I'm not saying it was that 18 inning game, but whatever game against Boston that we lost in mid-2006 was when my friend Mattstradamus correctly called our doom.
  19. Charlotte - http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...ox&did=milb
  20. Teahen starting off his AAA rehab strong with a K in his first AB.
  21. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ May 28, 2011 -> 08:11 PM) He seems to finally be showing the skills we thought he had. Home runs in three straight games have his ISO at .200. Unfortunately he is striking out a lot more in May. 10 K to 11 BB in April compared to 17 BB and 26 K in May. At least his average and walk rates are up. I still probably have the highest hopes for him than most people here.
  22. According to Keith Law's top 100 ranking, his #41-#53 are all pitchers and 2 position players. So it seems our pick may be a pitcher again, although 1B CJ Cron is ranked #46, and I heard some people mention his name earlier.
  23. Wilkins w/ a walk in his 1st AB. His OBP is .500 the past 10 games....
