Milledge went 2/4 again. Mitchell also stole a base. Hopefully he is starting to turn the corner. Taylor Thompson is having a nice season. Pitched 1 perfect inning w/ 2 K today. Now owns a 0.93 ERA, 13 K and 3 BB in 9 2/3 IP.

BTW, when was the last time a hitting/pitching coach or manager was fired by the Sox mid-season? Since I've been a fan, I can't remember.

We are averaging 3.7 runs a game since opening day's outburst. That's almost the bottom 5 in the league.

At least Thornton looked solid. Threw a TON of sliders. I think I only saw 4 fastballs, and everything else was sliders.
