  1. Charlotte--Viciedo HR http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...bufaaa_chraaa_1 Birmingham http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...cngaax_biraax_1 Winston-Salem http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...potafa_wswafa_1 Kannapolis http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...hagafx_kanafx_1
  2. When the Sox were 11-22, I said get back to 43-43 by the end of interleague play on July 3rd. They need to go 18-12. Doable, and if it happens, they'll be right where they need to be. Indians are going backwards.
  3. 8 shutout innings of one-hit ball for Santiago. 23-year-old lefty...might be worth keeping an eye on the rest of the year.
  4. Perfect game gone, but he pitched over a hit, balk, and two walks. Santiago--converted reliever. Having a pretty good year.
  5. Hector Santiago...no hitter through five. Pleading ignorance here...never heard of him.
  6. They better win this. Still can't believe Ozzie had Morel bunting on 2-0 with 2 walks in front of him.
  7. Charlotte http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...bufaaa_chraaa_1 Bayne...mercy Birmingham http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...cngaax_biraax_1 Winston-Salem http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...potafa_wswafa_1 Kannapolis http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...hagafx_kanafx_2 http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...hagafx_kanafx_1 Nice start for Burnside.
  8. New pitchers to Charlotte... Cameron Bayne Brandon Kloess
  9. If Marquez and Bruney are going up, then I would think Harrell is going right back, and maybe they've come to their senses and will send Sale down to start.
  10. Maintain the 4 runs/game average.
  11. This team doesn't need to go 26-5, but 26-12 to the break after today is almost a necessity. If they get swept in Boston, we're right back where we were when the Sox were 11-22.
  12. It was Harrell's turn in the rotation for Charlotte, he's already on the 40-man, and if Danks has a bad outing, they needed a pitcher that could give innings, so a bullpen pitcher in Charlotte wasn't much of an option. He's actually had a pretty good May. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...&pid=449173
  13. Pena was placed on the DL. "Elbow tendinitis"
  14. They needed an arm. We'll see if Pena gets bounced.
  15. Danks vs Romero Pierre LF, Ramirez SS, Quentin RF, Konerko 1B, Rios CF, Dunn DH, Castro C, Lillibridge 2B, Morel 3B
  16. Swarzak no hits given up in the 7th. Red Sox and Tigers will play a doubleheader tomorrow before the Sox head to Boston.
  17. Ranger said Dunn wasn't pinch hit for because he's going to break out one of these days. Poor excuse, but I fully expected that from him. He can start breaking out in the 2nd inning. In that situation, pinch hitting with Quentin was the only right move. Baseball 101.
  18. Here goes Ranger... hilarious.
  19. 54 games in the books. 1/3 of the season. Team ERA: 3.92 31 quality starts. And they are on pace for 90 losses. That's bad offense, bad bullpen early, and bad managing.
  20. It's funny, when Q didn't pinch hit for Dunn, the first thing I thought of was Ranger justifying that move.
  21. Once again, being loyal costs us a game. From the top down, loyalty is this organization's worst enemy.
  22. Q has to pinch hit here. Has to.
  23. Well, they got their 8 runs today to get the season average up to exactly 4.0/game. Hopefully the next 108 games will be better. Better yet, they get a couple more today.
  24. If the Sox come up short in September, the losses on this road trip might be as memorable as the bullpen implosions in early April. Just awful.
  25. It's too bad there is suspicion of Bautista. It's a valid concern given what has happened in baseball, but what if this was the first legitimate PED-free run of Maris's record? That would be very cool, but we'll never know for sure.
