  1. Humber vs Morrow Pierre LF, Ramirez SS, Quentin RF, Konerko DH, Dunn 1B, Rios CF, Pierzynski C, Vizquel 3B, Beckham 2B
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 26, 2011 -> 01:00 PM) 7-0, out goes Scherzer. Sweep the Tigers please, then back off a little when you are back at Fenway on Monday Right now it looks like the Sox will face Lester/Aceves/Wakefield, but no Buchholz or Beckett. Just for the heck of it, I wanted to see who we'll face when Seattle comes to town...Pineda, Felix, Vargas. There's the payback.
  3. Not sure if anyone brought it up, but remember last year Rios got booed mercilessly in Toronto, and he had a good series. Hopefully that will happen again.
  4. Too bad about Posey. I hate to see young stars get sidetracked. Mauer and now Posey...it's not good for the game. As far as not being able to block the plate, it's an interesting dilemma. Kind of like an outfielder crashing into the wall to make a catch. Sure, you might save a run, but at the expense of being out for weeks or months? Probably not worth it in the won/loss column in the end.
  5. Nice game for Mitchell, 3-4, double, homer, bb, 3 rbis
  6. When the Sox were 11-22, would you have taken 12-6 the next 18 games? That's what they've done. Now let's get 4-5 wins in Toronto and Boston and come home and start kicking ass.
  7. 29 quality starts, and the Sox are only 17-12. 58.6% quality start conversion. Good teams convert on about 75-80% of quality starts. Sox should be 5-6 games better if not for the bad bullpen in the first couple weeks, and the awfulness of Pierre, Dunn, Rios, and our manager.
  8. This game was lost when Dunn struck out. Maybe Ozzie might not want to use him against a lefty in a pressure situation until he actually gets a hit off a lefty in a non-pressure situation.

    2011 TV Thread

I didn't think the Web Redemption with the "boom" guy was that funny. Next week should be interesting with the naked guy.
  10. Or this morning. Good day for amphetamines. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 25, 2011 -> 12:22 PM) Everyone threw last night.
  11. Correct. Actually, it's starting to get scary how good the Red Sox offense is. Wouldn't surprise me if they cruised the rest of the season and won 96-100 games.
  12. Getting to 3 under .500, and 8 games out would look pretty good. Let's do it.
  13. 8-0 Red Sox. Nice score to see at noon.
  14. Looks like new cells are popping up west of Arlington. Hopefully after that passes, they can finish it. Floyd on 4 days rest?
  15. Charlotte http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...chraaa_bufaaa_1 Winston-Salem http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...wswafa_lynafa_1 Birmingham and Kannapolis off
  16. Sox will wake up on the 4th of July five games out or less.
  17. Does anyone remember what the 1996 White Sox did? No? Well, they started the season 40-21, and then went 45-56 the rest of the way. I'm hoping that's what going on with the Indians.
  18. Holland, Wilson, Romero, Lester...Viciedo time?
  19. People said Dunn is one of those guys that you have to watch his at-bats. No, it's the opposite.
  20. Charlotte http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...chraaa_bufaaa_1 Birmingham lost. Kuhn led off. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...biraax_jaxaax_1 Winston-Salem http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...wswafa_lynafa_1 Kannapolis http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...delafx_kanafx_1
  21. You can't evaluate a trade until down the line unless the player acquired goes on to win a championship right when you get him. So if Edwin Jackson went on to win a championship with the Sox last year, you could automatically call it a good trade, and whatever Hudson did in his career would still make the trade worth it. Or even if they win this year with Jackson in the rotation, fine, good trade. However, without actually making the playoffs, the trade hasn't been worth it so far. And as far as Hudson beating the Padres or Twins or whomever, who cares? They're major league teams, and he beat them. Mark Buehrle has made a career on beating bad teams. Nothing against Buehrle, but he's just doing what he's supposed to.
  22. KWJR- I know he's Kenny's kid and everything, but how can they justify leading off this .190 hitter at AA? Give me a break. If anything, shouldn't Kuhn be in that spot to get on base, steal some bags, stuff like that? Whatever.
  23. With the Indians winning three more this weekend, these last two were large wins for the Sox. Depending on what happens from here to the end of interleague play on July 3rd, we could be looking at some crazy division/wildcard races in the second half. Nobody in the league is running away with anything so far...well, except the Indians. Hopefully the Sox have a nice, solid 6-4 or better road trip with no games handed over on a silver platter.
