http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/2810 Morel taking his place. Not yet on the roster.

http://www.mlb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?si...peswin_perwin_1 Danks and CJ playing again today. I heard Buddy Bell this morning on with Bruce Levine. He said CJ caught some in the Instructional League (I'm assuming he meant after this past regular season). He used the phrase "super sub", so who knows? Maybe he can make the team in 2010.

Homer for Danks today. His 2nd.

http://www.mlb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?si...perwin_pddwin_1 Danks and Retherford in the lineup today.

http://www.mlb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?si...msswin_perwin_1 Cassel got roughed up in the first inning today. Danks got a double in his first AB.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Oct 20, 2009 -> 01:08 PM) I see Retherford getting an invite to Spring Training, and I can't see him not making the most out of that chance. He's a natural hitter, god only knows where we'll play him though. Is Retherford up for be being placed on the 40-man next month?

CJ is the bomb.

RBI ground out for Danks. Retherford RBI triple. I love this guy as much as Hawk.

I hope Retherford does really well in this league. I wonder if he could catch and be an emergency 3rd catcher if Flowers and Pierzynski are in the same lineup. How's his arm?

I think if you polled non-White Sox fans, a huge majority would say last night's game was better. There was a lot more action on the field. In the blackout game, you basically had the play at the plate, one home run, and a lot of nail biting wondering if it would hold up.

QUOTE (son of a rude @ Oct 6, 2009 -> 06:46 PM) Here's to hoping Viciedo will be unbelievable in fall league and spring training =\ ...and playing outfield.

When Garcia first came back, I was not a fan of him coming back next year. He proved me wrong. I've even come around to thinking Hudson could be a valuable arm in the bullpen. What's great about this move is that Kenny has this off his plate for the offseason, and Ozzie and Coop will have it off their plates in spring training. They know who's in their rotation and can plan accordingly without having to adjust the pitching schedule in spring training. It's a big plus.

I heard they dropped them off the bus 5 blocks from the hotel in Cleveland. Made them hoof it.

I don't think that's Torres. I think that's Nunez.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 11:17 AM) The one other guy worth bringing up might be Andrus. Played a full year, .267 average, 6 HR, .702 OPS, 85 OPS+, but supposedly very good with the glove. I don't think I'd pick him over Becks, but he's in the top 5. I think Porcello, Beckham, Romero, Andrus is probably a good order of finish. Keep in mind it's two beat writers from each AL city that vote for the top 3. You'll probably see Porcello, Andrus, and Andrew Bailey get a lot of top 3 votes. I really don't think Beckham will be very close at all. You may see some AL Central writers give Beckham a couple second place and third place votes. Maybe a Chicago voter will give him a first, but he won't be close to winning.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Oct 4, 2009 -> 08:20 PM) What date did the tigers take over first place? I mean they've been in it all season and its going to be hilarious and great if they lose. May 10. http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/DE...le-scores.shtml

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 4, 2009 -> 02:39 PM) What are the odds that the same team plays a 1 game playoff game in back to back years? That is really amazing. First time it's ever happened. I would also like to see them be the first team to lose Game 163 two years in a row.

Danks goes 8 innings. Sox win 6-2. Twins win the division. I hate to say it, but I think that's what's going to happen.

QUOTE (GO CHI SOX! @ Oct 3, 2009 -> 09:49 PM) Clayton Kershaw - 7 K's over 3 innings. 9 in 4.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Oct 3, 2009 -> 04:41 PM) I hate the Twins, but it would be great to sweep the Tigers right out of the playoffs. Go get 'em Freddy! That's how I look at it, and I'm confident the Yankees will crush the Twins.

Laumann was on with Rongey this afternoon. Talked about a few players in the system. Seemed to think Viciedo will compete for a spot on the big league club, but need a half year in the minors next season. Reading between the lines, I think he's done with 3B. I think they're more than happy with Beckham there, and Viciedo is below average anyway. http://www.670thescore.com/topic/play_wind...audioId=4064856 Past the half way point.

Cowley fails again. Buehrle will start Game 2 tomorrow.

Buehrle is done. http://twitter.com/cst_sox/status/4477696244

Whisler got dropped from the 40-man too. Outrighted to AAA. The 40-man roster is at 37.

Bartolo Colon got released last week. Too many of these players on this list are in the "it depends" category.
