I think Madrigal will be fine too...they drafted him 4th for a reason. BABIP might be tricky with him...yes, he puts the ball in play, but he hits a lot of wimpy ground outs. He’s not exactly squaring up balls that are hit right at guys.

I’d put Jimenez in the Longoria category of locking him up pretty much right away if he’s willing. He’s not without risk because of knees and you just never know what might happen, but the talent is clearly there. He’s one of the best offensive players on the planet right now. The Sox are probably trying to make his dream come true, but if he isn’t signing, he has to wait because that’s the game right now.

That’s the point. See you April 15th, Eloy.

Sign him to a deal now that locks him up through 2026 and bring him up.

How would you schedule games? Keep in mind 81 home 81 road, 24 off days per team, 76 division games, and teams in warm weather and domes don’t want excessive April games either- their kids go to school too.

It’s almost cartoonish how he has the bottom of his shoe facing the pitcher. Probably could tone it down.
