Both teams are off tomorrow so they would play Thursday if it gets rained out.
The Angels series looks bad Saturday and Sunday. Just depends on the timing of the Gordon rain. Might have to move start times if they have the ambition to play them.
To be a fly on the wall at the organizational meetings...
I’ve said it before...self-scouting will be one of the biggest components to whether this rebuild works or not. They need to keep the best players and not settle for guys they like or are blind to their faults.
Forecast for Wednesday night I saw would at the very least push back the start time a few hours. Both teams are off Thursday. We’ll see.
The tropical storm rain looks like Sat/Sun.
They can fall to 8th and I’d be happy as long as it also means they start out next year playing just as well.
And they should with Rodon and Kopech from the start, and Lopez and Giolito with more experience. Oh, and that Eloy guy might help too. And the bullpen...possibly great bullpen.
Madrigal finished at .303 for the first pro season. 5 K. Great defense. I'll take the positives and have faith some of the other stuff will improve next year.
I’m not sure what the exact number is. With the season starting March 28, maybe he’ll be up April 10 vs TB, but 4/15 seems a safe date to pick.
Bottom line, he starts a great career sometime in April.
