On a separate thought...I wonder if his lack of pop in the last month is wrist related. Maybe he needs a little break now, which would be ok.
I’m going to forget about what I’ve seen so far from Madrigal...a lot of weak contact, and even when he squares it up, it doesn’t fly. But his pitch recognition is great, and not striking out will be his biggest strength.
Gotta give Shields, Lopez, and even Giolito credit for making it to the half way point without missing a start. It’s good to have a few durable starters.
Ha, I know. It’s already a done deal if he’s there at 3. Considering the Royals have Perez and the Orioles always need pitching, I guess we can hope they both pass- but they probably won’t. Rutschman is the real deal.
