Spring Games on TV/Web
What a great reference all month.

Who gets promoted first?
I don't think Kopech and Jimenez are as close to being called up as some. Minimum, I want Kopech to pitch three months in Charlotte. Eloy, just let the 21 year old play at Birmingham for 4 months, and see what's the deal on August 1st. Agree about Cordell though. Could be Matt Skole if Abreu got hurt.

Spring Training: White Sox vs Reds 2:05 PM
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 1, 2018 -> 12:37 PM) Had his bell rung in a collision with Tatis also ? Tatis stayed in. Saw his ABs last night. I’m thinking he’ll be similar to Machado. Star player.

Jake Burger out for season with ruptured Achillies Tendon
QUOTE (wrathofhahn @ Feb 27, 2018 -> 11:40 AM) I mean one of the sort of blessings for this type of injury in Burger case he wasn't guy who was overly reliant on his speed tool to begin with. One thing you sort of hope is he uses the time off to get himself in better shape. He’s already talked about focusing on his nutrition. Hopefully this all turns out fine. Maybe winter ball, and then 130 games at Birmingham next year. This may not be the end of the world for him or the Sox at all.

Jake Burger out for season with ruptured Achillies Tendon
If Jake Burger makes his debut the same age as Todd Frazier did, he’ll debut in July, 2021. Just saying, Frazier has had a decent career debuting at age 25, and Burger still has a chance to be up way before that if his rehab goes well.

ST game thread 2/26
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Feb 26, 2018 -> 02:36 PM) Some time at the end of May but I don't think they would be too worried about that. The extra year of control is like 10 days into the season. I think he will be anytime between those dates. May 3rd vs the Twins it is then.

Burger reminds me of Luzinski, therefore I will call him Bull.

Brett Lawrie Interview
QUOTE (ptatc @ Feb 25, 2018 -> 11:34 AM) Its really weird. He isnt wrong in much of what he said. He actually explained the concepts of how the kinematic chain of the lower extermity can cause the foot issues that he had. Whoever he is seeing now has a good handle on lower extremity kinematics. Where he is wrong is saying that the orthotics caused the kinematic chain issues. The kinematic chain issues were there, he just got caught up in two different treatment philosophies to treat them. The orthotics change the position of the foot to correct the mechanical issues from the bottom going up. The hip and gluteus treatment he was discussing treats the issue from the top to the bottom. Both can work depending on what is mechanically deficient. Im surprised the white sox didnt try the second approach after the orthotics didnt work but the orthtics didnt cause the issue, this is where the new practitioner is wrong. Orthotics do not cause permanent chages otherwise people wouldnt need to wear them for more than a short period of time. Its actually a really good insight into different methods of treating the same issue. He may be a wackadoodle but he is very intelligent. Thank you

Brett Lawrie Interview
https://www.tsn.ca/radio/vancouver-1040-i-1...eball-1.1006839 Honestly, I don't even know what to make of this. Worth listening to though. Maybe Ptatc can listen to this and make some comments.

Spring Games on TV/Web
Just want to point out some of the MLB Network games could be blacked out locally. Tomorrow’s game shown at 10pm could be a different game, so the webcast at 2 may be the only option.

2018 Spring Training notes and random tweets
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Feb 21, 2018 -> 07:15 PM) I feel bad for the fans that have to sit through a Covey start, even in spring training. Last year the first time I saw him was down at Camelback. If you go to a spring training game and care who plays and how much, you’re doing it wrong.

Love the rebuild, despise this attitude
Maybe if he showed up late everyday. Walking in, eating a box of Twinkies, wearing no pants. Sometimes a thread sucks. This is one of them. Been there.

Sox clear 40 man spot
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Feb 18, 2018 -> 01:26 PM) Why though? We already have Castillo and Narvaez He was adding to my post. Smith was outrighted at the start of spring training last year--and nobody was added right away. We'll see if somebody is added now, but I don't think it's a given.

Sox clear 40 man spot
QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Feb 18, 2018 -> 01:15 PM) Has to be foreshadowing a move, why outright someone before ST even starts? Can't remember who it was, but I seem to remember the same thing happening last year and it wasn't for an imminent move. Eventually one or more of the NRIs are going to be added as well.
