  1. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Feb 26, 2018 -> 02:36 PM) Some time at the end of May but I don't think they would be too worried about that. The extra year of control is like 10 days into the season. I think he will be anytime between those dates. May 3rd vs the Twins it is then.
  2. Burger reminds me of Luzinski, therefore I will call him Bull.
  3. So, when is the Super 2 date again?
  4. QUOTE (ptatc @ Feb 25, 2018 -> 11:34 AM) Its really weird. He isnt wrong in much of what he said. He actually explained the concepts of how the kinematic chain of the lower extermity can cause the foot issues that he had. Whoever he is seeing now has a good handle on lower extremity kinematics. Where he is wrong is saying that the orthotics caused the kinematic chain issues. The kinematic chain issues were there, he just got caught up in two different treatment philosophies to treat them. The orthotics change the position of the foot to correct the mechanical issues from the bottom going up. The hip and gluteus treatment he was discussing treats the issue from the top to the bottom. Both can work depending on what is mechanically deficient. Im surprised the white sox didnt try the second approach after the orthotics didnt work but the orthtics didnt cause the issue, this is where the new practitioner is wrong. Orthotics do not cause permanent chages otherwise people wouldnt need to wear them for more than a short period of time. Its actually a really good insight into different methods of treating the same issue. He may be a wackadoodle but he is very intelligent. Thank you
  5. https://www.tsn.ca/radio/vancouver-1040-i-1...eball-1.1006839 Honestly, I don't even know what to make of this. Worth listening to though. Maybe Ptatc can listen to this and make some comments.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 24, 2018 -> 06:28 PM) LouieBob or LouieRob at least makes more sense...Lu sounds like a woman’s name. Tell Lou Ferrigno that.
  7. Just want to point out some of the MLB Network games could be blacked out locally. Tomorrow’s game shown at 10pm could be a different game, so the webcast at 2 may be the only option.
  8. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Feb 21, 2018 -> 07:15 PM) I feel bad for the fans that have to sit through a Covey start, even in spring training. Last year the first time I saw him was down at Camelback. If you go to a spring training game and care who plays and how much, you’re doing it wrong.
  9. https://mobile.twitter.com/CST_soxvan/statu...029378441289728 I thought we already knew this, but again, it’s Luis Robert. Not Row-bear or Robber.
  10. Agree with the lineup and rotation components. Bench- Engel, Saladino, Narvaez Bullpen sure to be wrong: Avilan, Cedeno, Santiago on the left Farquhar, Minaya, Infante, Jones, Soria on the right
  11. Maybe if he showed up late everyday. Walking in, eating a box of Twinkies, wearing no pants. Sometimes a thread sucks. This is one of them. Been there.

  13. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Feb 18, 2018 -> 01:26 PM) Why though? We already have Castillo and Narvaez He was adding to my post. Smith was outrighted at the start of spring training last year--and nobody was added right away. We'll see if somebody is added now, but I don't think it's a given.
  14. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Feb 18, 2018 -> 01:15 PM) Has to be foreshadowing a move, why outright someone before ST even starts? Can't remember who it was, but I seem to remember the same thing happening last year and it wasn't for an imminent move. Eventually one or more of the NRIs are going to be added as well.

  17. Damn. Dickerson DFA is a head scratcher. They’ll find a trade partner.

  19. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Feb 16, 2018 -> 04:20 PM) How fitting Engel switched to #15. Willy Garcia upgraded too. Pretty sure 18. TJ House is 61.
  20. Btw, 34 wasn’t assigned because it’s going to be Kopech’s when he gets called up.
  21. I think Eloy is keeping 74 permanently. That was his winter ball number.

  23. QUOTE (WBWSF @ Feb 12, 2018 -> 06:54 PM) It means the White Sox are going to have a very low team payroll in 2018. And it also means the 2019 team payroll will be even lower. Baseball in 2018. Maybe when the current CBA ends after the 2021 season the Union will negotiate a salary floor or other mechanisms to discourage all out tanking. But right now the “have nots” are doing what they can to find a path to competing in the future. The Sox are banking on 2020-2024. Love it or leave it.
