  1. Quintana vs Nolasco Sox https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/759132646941130752 Twins https://twitter.com/Twins/status/759123949057826816 Q's last start? Morneau's return to Target Field.
  2. Robertson and Shields, but I'm hoping for a lot more.
  3. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 01:57 PM) They tried to add last year when it was over Reinsdorf probably still references 1983 when it comes to going for it.
  4. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 01:52 PM) Thats until they sweep the twins and go all in lol .600-ball the rest of the season gives them 86 wins. I hope they're smarter than that. Then again...
  5. QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 01:41 PM) Those might be "fair" trades, but life isn't fair and those teams NEED Sale in a bad way. The Sox do not need to trade him. The sox need to violate some GM in a major way. I hope they're able to do that by having 2-4 teams upping the ante, and it may take the last 15 minutes leading up to 3pm on Monday. But when it comes down to it, I'd be happy with a great deal that minor league experts/baseball people find fair too. That's just me.
  6. If they don't find a trade now, good chance we'll look back at this time and say, "damn we coulda had x, y, z right now." Or not.
  7. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 01:20 PM) David Robertson, if traded, could get a decent haul on his own. If packaged with Sale or Q, Sox could become a top 10 farm system overnight. https://twitter.com/RobHart1980/status/759086422188064769 That's just a radio guy with an opinion. Not an insider.
  8. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 11:15 AM) IMO - that actually makes a ton of sense (I have actually suggested that very thing). Blow it up next July if it doesn't work. Sale and Q will still be worth the same amount then. You never know with pitchers. If the plan is a to rebuild, neither should be with team in six months.
  9. Trade his red ass. If a kings ransom is still out there, take it and never look back.
  10. 79 hours to go. Take the King's Ransom.
  11. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 04:23 PM) Fulmer's had 2 bad games, I don't think it's fair to jump on the omgz he isn't ready bandwagon. When you couple it with his underwhelming minor league season, I think it's fair to say he should be back in the minors starting, if that's the long term plan.
  12. No rain please. They're getting to Minneapolis late enough as it is.
  13. Chances are after the dust settles on the trade deadline, Ranaudo will be back soon after. But Fulmer needs more minor league time too. He shouldn't be here anymore.
  14. After the Tigers swept the Red Sox, they are 35% to make the postseason. They're in the buy or stand pat spot. They'll buy.
  15. Maybe Fulmer will go down tomorrow when Sale gets reinstated. He's clearly not ready, and not bringing anything.
  16. Turner is starting tomorrow after Sale gets traded.
  17. QUOTE (Special K @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 09:05 AM) What if we sweep the cubs and the twins and are sitting 5 over .500 come Sunday. Think we gotta stay put... Only need to go 37-25 the rest of the way to hit that 87 mark. Not entirely crazy... Don't fall for that. 2 of 3 series each against the teams in the Central are on the road. Bullpen not good enough. Too many holes in the lineup. Indians are better. Teams with the wildcard spots are trying to improve by Monday afternoon. 5 over would just mean a down turn is right around the corner. Hate to be negative about it. Just being realistic about who this team is....decent at times, but not a playoff team.
  18. Part of them lingering around .500 is part of the problem. They've reached that level of mediocrity that teases you enough., but it's stupid to think they'll win 36-38 of the final 62, and possibly still need help. They should sell anyone if the right deal is available. 50-50 changes nothing.
  19. Interleague is being dominated by the AL since the break. 112-88 through 200. 100 left, including a few in progress. 82-80 is average for AL. 80-82 is average for NL.
  20. Papelbon blowing a save in Cleveland. Blah.
  21. Maybe Lawrie going on the DL?
